Disclaimer: Ladies and gentlemen, this is another parody article written for your amusement and is more or less a tribute to Rafterman’s latest article about OFW infidelity. Remember, “parody” means it’s NOT real. It’s just a joke. However, if any of you thinks this is real, I will be genuinely disappointed in you.
Well, here we go with the MMFF and it looks like it’s none other than Bebelove, another film about teen lust- err -love (I meant LOVE, okay?) starring everyone’s favorite kalyeserye couple AlDub! However, one has to wonder what happened to all the infidelity films that seemed to be the staple of Pinoy cinema. Indeed, looking at my newsfeed on FB, I can easily note that a good number of posts revolve around infidelity and everything it entails.
Fear not though infidelity fans, it seems that our infidelity films have made it big overseas! In the United States it seems that certain big names have finally taken notice of our infidelity films like No Other Woman and A Love Story. Apparently, we’re all in for quite a treat because it looks like some well-known people from Hollywood seem to be interested in making a film based on some of our more infamous infidelity films.
None other than famous director and producer Michael Bay (best known for directing the G.I. Joe and Transformers films) has taken interest in doing a remake or tribute to our infidelity films. Entitled No Other Love Story, the film will be a combination of No Other Woman and A Love Story and relocated to an American setting. While it’s not clear yet where production will take place, rumor has it that it will take place in either the middle of the Nevada desert or the Alaskan Tundra.
Rumor has it that even Tim Burton, known for his works with Johnny Depp like Edward Scissorhands and Sleepy Hollow, has also taken an interest in the project and will be adding some of his signature Gothic feel for the film proper. As for a cast, it has been confirmed that Ronda “Rowdy” Rousey and Holly Holm will play as the two female leads who will be vying for the attention and affection of a male character portrayed by Shia Lebouf. Other details for the film include the use of bullet-time scenes similar to what can be found in many action films like The Matrix as well as the presence of plenty of car chase scenes similar to what was shown in Mad Max: Fury Road. Lastly, while the U.S. government and military was highly reluctant to do so, they have finally agreed to provide Michael Bay with a fully functional nuclear device with a yield of about a hundred megatons for the climax of No Other Love Story.
No Other Love Story might take a while yet before being released but we can be sure that we’re in for quite an eyeful of special effects, slam-bang action and, of course, themes of worldly lust and betrayal!
