Busted: Budget Secretary Florencio 'Butch' Abad named and shamed!

Busted: Budget Secretary Florencio ‘Butch’ Abad named and shamed!

According to the report the contents of the list came from two sources, with one of the sources confirming that “the 11 were included in an affidavit executed by Napoles before Justice Secretary Leila de Lima.” But of the 19 incumbent and former Senators listed, “three—Pia Cayetano, Santiago and Marcos—were mentioned by Napoles as having received commissions, but there is still not enough evidence to show they received such funds.”

Another list is being bandied around by former Senator Panfilo ‘Ping’ Lacson reportedly consisting of “12 sitting senators, two Cabinet secretaries, and 90 members of the House of Representatives” on lists “provided by Napoles and principal whistleblower Benhur Luy.” With one of the purported Cabinet secretaries already identified in the GMA News report, the other one remains undisclosed for now.

Lacson has for some time been waving his own list around threateningly. Earlier he had reportedly revealed that his list combines that provided by Jaime Napoles, husband of alleged pork barrel scam ringleader Janet Lim Napoles and a “glimpse” of that of whistleblower Benhur Luy and includes “21 former and incumbent senators” and “two Cabinet secrataries” both of whose involvement happened “when they were still congressmen”.

Last Monday (the 13th May), the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee ordered Justice Secretary Leila De Lima and Lacson to submit to them their respective Napoles Lists. According to Blue Ribbon Committee Chairman Senator Sergio Osmeña III, De Lima’s version of the list, supposedly one that was “signed and sworn to” by Napoles herself is “the only one that matters”…

“That’s the one attested and signed; that’s the valid one. Anybody else’s list is not sworn to,” he said. “If I want to invent a list I can write one now.”

“Evidence is evidence and first you must have personal knowledge. It has to come from Napoles herself and it can be verified by people like whistleblower Benhur Luy and Ruby Tuazon,” Osmeña said.

As expected, a tidal wave of denials from people named in these lists has started rolling in. Leading the pack is Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago who pointed out that the “Napoles list, if unsigned, has no evidentiary value at all” and proceeded to launch a vicious verbal attack on Lacson

“I repeat, Lacson is an attack dog of (Senator Juan Ponce) Enrile. The Supreme Court has repeatedly ruled that to allege is not proof. Where is the evidence, as defined in the Rules of Court?”

To make her point that anyone can come up with a “list”, Santiago postulated the existence of a list of gay public servants…

“Anyone can make lists. I was told that there is a list [titled] “Closeted gays or bisexuals in public service.” I was given names, and I was requested to say “Yes” or “No” on whether the person was truly in the list. When the name Pinky Lacson was called, I said ‘yes,’” Santiago said.

“Anyway, there is an affidavit, although unsigned, circulating in Metro Manila that Pinky Lacson has asked for leave of absence from Malacañang. The highly confidential reason is that he is scheduled for a gender change operation in a remote clinic in the United States,” she added.

Lacson reportedly denies that he is gay. Nonetheless it is on. The circus is in town.

  1. Nothing really new there. The general public had long suspected that these people were participating in a massive effort to defraud the Filipino people. What would be interesting is to learn if any freshmen lawmakers — Grace Poe and Nancy Binay come to mind — are involved.

  2. This only proves one thing: the current administration is behind the scam.
The scam has Abad’s name written all over it.
Aquino is also involved as well it seems since he is Abad’s boss.

The yellow ship is sinking fast. They better abandon ship or they’ll go down with it.

    1. No,its not. The ship that is the Filippine government keeps slithering along like the slimy-ass snakes they all are! Replace one POS with another POS,it doesn’t matter. They get accussed, then convicted ,then pardoned and then re-elected again. You do not need examples, right?
Until these SCUMBAGS are REMOVED PERMANENTLY, as in
P-E-R-M-A-N-E-N-T-L-Y !!!, THEY WILL KEEP DOING EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE DOING.a revolving door of crooks taking turns laughing and robbing the Filipino people, and getting away with it for decades.

  3. Why hasnt people gone out of the streets already? The fact that the entire government has screwed them from the backside, not to mention squandering THEIR money and yet all seems calm? This is disturbing… Either that or we’re willing to be screwed by these scoundrels.

    1. Going out in the streets will accomplish nothing. The current situation calls for severe harshness, as in the most severe treatment of the criminals, the rack would be too easy! So severe that it will have the rest of the criminals running for the airport to escape the angry mobs that are hunting them down like the scumbag dogs they are, no doubt!

  4. we could’ve went green during the presidential election but no, we went back to the yellow stain because of pity and sympathy and finally here we are. I guess this is the right time to say this quote fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me.

  5. Pnoy acts so dumb and lame. It is very obvious that the president is not in the right frame of mind. He doesn‘t know how to handle the PDAF Scam. So sad to have a weak president. So frustrating to watch a clown running a tragic show.

  6. OH PLEASE, Face it people, THEY ARE ALL GUILTY!

Is there any reason to think that any Filipino Politician is not guilty of being a lying thieving scumbag? Give it up now, if anyone has one good reason to think that every single one of these guys is not guilty of being a lying, thieving scumbag, lets hear it, now.

HHHMMM…SILENCE, justa as it is thought,uh huh, face it, they are all thieves and all guilty. NOOSE TIME!!!!

  7. IDK what is funnier, these idiotic shambloic ‘blue-ribbon committee’s’ or the fact that anyone believes any of the shit that comes out of these people’s lying thieving mouth’s.

NAMED AND SHAMED? These scumbags have no shame, noe. Bald-faced liars, Scumbags of the lowest caliber. Oh no, these people have no shame.

  8. The ones that get the most indignant are the ones that are most guilty too!!

“How dare you insinuate that I am a thief, HOW DARE YOU!!!”, yep, that is what the guiltiest will say!!! or “Your trying to frame me!”, or “It wasn’t me, it was ….(pointing the finger at someone else)”.

    1. JT what they going to do? nothing just like they always do. Cannot progress unless they do something but all they want to do is talk talk talk talk, and nothing ever changes.
Most probably have another picnic in the park, prayer session, post some pictures on FB.

      1. LOL YAWN, a ‘picnic’ in the park! it is too comical a Circus.
‘and in the left ring we have former SC Chief ‘Just us’ Corona, and to his right we have actor turned President turned former death row inmate turned Mayor of Manure ‘Hey Joe’ Estrada and in the middle of it all we have convicted plunderer and disgraced Anti-Christ/Dictator’s Son…”BONG BONG!!”…Cart-wheels fella’s..hit it!

        Even sounds like a 3 ring Circus.OMG.

        1. Lol Jt nice one.
Welcome to the worlds biggest reality tv show, Republic of Kindergarten starring 100 million juvenile delinquents.

    1. Trillanes made it on CNN not for accomplishment but for leading anarchy. To quote Top Gun the military does not make decisions but are the instruments of it. Of course this being the culture of impunity not only was there no consequence but he got elected Senator. But again in the Philippines this is all fine because to quote a certain president, he has eyes to die for. PROUD TO BE PINOY!

  9. IMHO the list is somewhat questionable due to the simple reason that from what I remember Joker Arroyo never used his pork barrel fund. The likelihood of some politicians being remove or added to the list is quite high.

  10. “I would rather have a Philippines run like hell by Filipinos than a Philippines run like heaven by the Americans”

Looks like MLQ got his wish…

  11. Hala pati si Joker Arroyo isinama sa listahan kahit hindi nito ginalaw yung Pork Barrel niya. Hanep din tong Sindikatong Dilaw ha.

  12. For Philippine ‘Commisioner’ on ‘Human Rights’ Leila De Lima was suppossed to get justice for the ‘victims’ of the Maguindanao Massacre, was she not? Let’s see, UH, How is that prosecution going? OH, not so well? 5and a half years after the ‘Massacre’ there has not been a single trial and it is rumoured that the Amputuans leave their jails cells for long periods of time, when ever they feel like it! HA!
It looks like lack of talent as well as results is what passes for accomplishment s in the failed state that is the Faili-ppines, isn’t that so? Ms. De Lima as a perfect example? OH YEAH, Failure at its finest!

  13. When politicians are involved, a true people’s court/tribunal must be formed. It’s no use when the judge, the jury and the accused are but one and the same.

  14. theres no such document valid as proof to corruption as well as legally documented corruption. The court will only consider legal documents as evidence.
