Who is winning the high-stakes Public Relations (PR) War that determines which of the Philippines’ big feudal clans will bag control of the Philippine government and, following that, access to all the multi-billion peso goodies that can be scraped off the Philippine economy over the next few years? Will it be the Marcostards? Will it be the Dutertards? Who knows. More to the point: Who cares?
The fact is, whoever or whatever camp seizes power in the next election and gets first dibs at that big siphon that sucks the juices from right under Filipinos’ noses as they sustain their tingala posture to the antics of their political idols does not really matter in the bigger scheme of things. They are, after all, all the same. The circus currently ongoing at the Philippine Senate proves this, by now, non-groundbreaking observation. As “thought leaders” in the mainstream are pointing out ad nauseum nowadays, these “senators” really have no agenda of relevance to ordinary Filipinos. At their core, they’re in it for the spoils of public “service”.
One then wonders about all these “loyalties” being exhibited by the major cults of personality here — the Dutertards and the Marcostards. What a colossal waste of headspace. Then again, whatever collective intellect Filipinos actually wield to think their way out of their wretchedness does not offer much to work with to begin with.

The only useful outcome of this ongoing outrage fad is the further highlighting of the Philippine Senate as no more than a source of noise. It serves no purpose other than to distract Filipinos and their click-hungry media and online political “influencers” from the truly important things (stuff the rest of the world are trying to solve). The Philippine Senate is, in essence, an attention vampire. What little remains of Filipinos’ collective attention span is being soaked up by its publicity-hungry virtue signalling members and turning these into further capital to add to their personal political brands.
Filipinos are effectively being robbed not only of public funds but also of dwindling brain capacity — capacity that could have been put to better use mobilising shared values to work together productively towards shared goals. Instead, the Senate and its cast of clowns work counter to this — further dividing Filipinos along partisan lines and manufacturing social conflict that erodes much-needed trust and social cohesion critical to robust national development.
The Philippine Senate, in essence, is now a national liability. It contributes negative value to Philippine society. As such, it is becoming irrevocably clear that the Senate needs to be abolished lest it continues to be an agent of degradation to the Filipino nation. How does one go about abolishing the Philippine Senate? That’s an interesting initiative to mull over short of an amendment to or re-drafting of the 1987 Yellowtard Constitution itself.
For now, every day that the Senate continues to exist is another day Philippine society is materially degraded. This daily haemorrhaging of the national equity needs to be arrested ASAP. Partisanism and continuing to entrench one’s self within cults of personalities will not solve anything. Only a clear eye on the bigger goal will.

yea , why not start with congress first ?
i mean, the senate are asshats , especially the “sB 11″…
but congress is a clump of fools.
lets get rid of congress. then and only then do we talk of the senate.
why not just have Luzon declare itself as a separate republic, with boobby M as president FOREVEr, and his lesbian son as succcessor.
those who dont like it, should leave Luzon ASAP.
sounds fair to me.
The worship of money and its accompanying privileges exhibited by congressional members, including Tulfo, Recto, Pangilinan, and Escudero, is evident in their deliberate efforts to obstruct the disclosure of the DPWH scandal.
The persistent attempts at impeaching Sarah Duterte serve as a strategic measure to mitigate potential repercussions, particularly for Martin Romualdez following the end of his cousin Bongbong’s presidency. They intend to prolong this situation, hoping that other issues will divert attention from this scandal. Consequently, the adage goes that there is a specific place in hell reserved for such politicians.
That’s the first time I saw that there’s this photo mural of senators in the hallway. What a horrible decoration, lol
