Philippine school books are infested with Yellowtard propaganda!

It is often said, and we are often reminded, that children are amongst the most vulnerable members of our society. They look up to their elders and are keen to learn and please — sponges that have many spaces in their minds and psyches to fill. As adults, we are responsible for the shaping of the future generations and, as such, are accountable for how future adults turn out.

It is unfortunate that, in the Philippines, the youth are politicised at a very early age. In a photo shared by Facebook activist MJ Quiambao Reyes, a page from a textbook used in a Grade 2 social studies class shows the extent to which the Yellow Camp would go to disseminate its propaganda.

Accompanying images of the late former Senator Benigno ‘Ninoy’ Aquino Jr and his son and former President Benigno Simeon ‘BS’ Aquino III are text and imagery singing praises about the former’s martyrdom, his relationship with the latter, and a series of leading questions designed to hammer in who they are into the readers’ young minds.

The most disturbing is a poem with the title (translated in English) “Do you know Ninoy?”. The following is the full poem translated in English…

Do you know Ninoy?
He is the father of Noynoy
He gave his life
For his beloved country.

He worked and sacrificed
Even while he was imprisoned.
Fighting for change
Even at risk of death.

The heavens mourned
When he was buried.
Thunder rumbled loudly
Lightning clapped sharply.

An important iniative concerned parents and citizens should mount is to begin to evaluate just how much damage had been done to Philippine society by these textbooks.

Observers have long warned that Philippine society suffers a bad case of intellectual bankruptcy. “An admired Filipino economist, based in New York” long ago lamented this deficit in thinking and had this to say about the Philippines’ political “debate”.

When the issues are of some significance, it’s the wrong arguments that prevail, the wrong side wins. Logic and common sense take the backseat to political arguments and the views of the poorly-educated.

Poorly-educated.

Indeed it is less about how much education Filipinos receive and more about the quality of this education. The most highly-regarded skills today (or for that matter, over much of history) mainly involve problem-solving acumen. Professions like engineering and the sciences employ rigourous problem solving frameworks hinged on the scientific method where an objective mind regards and defines problems through un-coloured perspectives. In the arts, it is original and ground-breaking work that delivers the biggest bucks — not re-hashes and, in the case of the Philippines’ popular arts, poor copies of Western concepts.

The trouble with the way Filipino youngsters are raised is that they are taught what to think and not how to think.

Herein this example lies Exhibit A — but one brick in what is likely to be a vast foundation of mediocrity upon which Philippine society has been built and continues to be built.

  1. whenever my daughters have homework regarding ninoy & the aquinos, I tell them ninoy is no hero despite what the book says, and I don’t give a damn if the teacher gives them an X mark for it… I will give them hell if they are given a failing mark for one entire school year just for it

  2. “History is always written by the winners!”

Napoleon once said, “What is history, but a fable agreed upon?” George Orwell, with dismay, writes, “that those who control the present can, to some extent, control knowledge of the past.”

But to Augustine of Hippo, “The truth is like a lion; you don’t have to defend it. Let it loose; it will defend itself.”

  3. Only an Independent Truth Commission composed of historians, sociologists and intellectuals neither identified with the Marcoses or the Aquinos to revisit the Marcos rule, the assassination of Ninoy and triggering events that led to Enrile running terrified to Camp Aquinaldo enlightened the brainwashed generation of Filipinos.

The rise of FEM like a phoenix from a villain in the EDSA86 euphoria to a respectable leader to the present generation of Filipinos maybe attributed to an unconscious resistance of the Filipino psyche to common sense lies despite the well funded Yellow propaganda by the post Marcos elite (many of them legendary looters and/or dummies of the Marcos loot) for the past 31 years.

    1. You mentioned FEM as if he was a good leader. He may have been, prior to second term in 1969. But he turned into a dictator later and ruled with an iron fist. He used foreign loans from IMF-WB as well as from Japan to fund infrastructures while allowing his cronies and himself to gain wealth at the country’s expense. This resulted in a debt ridden country whose economy contracted. Jobs where scarce, so working abroad was sometimes the only options. Sugar and rice monopolies were controlled and dollar allocations to import was given to only those well connected with the Marcos/ Romualdez family. Food shortages were common and usually short term solutions were used like importation. Things were getting worse and no hope in sight. Until the assassination of Sen Aquino. Suddenly, a lot of people had the courage to confront the conjugal dictatorship. No, Marcos was not a good president. He was a dictator.

  4. Sounds to me like:

    Do you know Kim Jong-il?
He is the father of Kim Jong-un
    He gave his life
    For his belived country.

    He worked and sacrificed
    Fighting for change
    Even at risk of death.

    The heavens mourned
    When he was buried.
    Thunder rumbled loudly
    Lightning clapped sharply.

    1. @Jim DiGriz

      Hahaha, exactly!

Also, why don’t they teach how ‘Benigno Aquino Sr.’ collaborated with the Japanese invaders & was caught & tried for treason?

  5. Them Ivory Tower Pinoys keep raging over fake news, but few seem to be raging over fake education. I hope they haven’t forgotten about the fake history such as the Code of Kalantiaw, Filipinos supposedly having invented the yo-yo and Armando Lite supposedly having invented the M16 fifle. Plus, Rizal supposedly having written the poem Sa Aking Mga Bata (where people not loving one’s language are compared to smelly fish), but that one was busted by Ambeth Ocampo. We’re still having something like that right here.

    1. This is a true History. Benigno Aquino, Sr. – the father of Benigno Aquino, Jr., and the grandfather of Benigno Simeon Aquino III, established the KALIBAPI Party , during the Japanese occupation of the Philippines. The KALIBAPIs were responsible for the torture and murders of Filipino guerrillas; the rape of Filipino women and many atrocities.

During the liberation of the Philippines. Benigno Aquino, Sr., sought refuge in Tokyo, Japan. He was brought back to the Philippines. He was convicted of Treason; and was sentenced to Death. Gen. MacArthur pardoned him, for the unity of the Filipinos…

  6. just start backwards in 1957, the sale of hacienda luisita and you’ll find out why the philippines becomes like these now….a miserable life. and who is responsible for all what happened.

  7. The Aquino Cojuangco political axis, the Axis of Greed and Evil, will use anything to cling to power in the Philippines.
They used EDSA Fake News. It became Fake History…this Falsehood is now being in the grade school textbooks to Brainwash the young minds of the Filipino Youth. Making them Robots and incapable of critical thinking.

These politicalized textbooks, must be Banned in schools. Schools are where we learn to think. Not allowing other people to think for us ! The minds of the young must not be shaped by any political agenda, to promote politicians.

Remove the faces of the Aquinos in the currency. Rename the International Airport : Manila International Airport. Rename the Rizal Memorial Stadium. Destroy their EDSA Shrine – it is where this Evil Aquino Cojuangco political cult, pay homage to their false heroes and Saints…

We are creating a new generation of Robots and Zombies, with these kinds of Aquino Cojuangco political axis textbooks.

You can see how evil and greedy these people are !

  8. Is this old or new edition? To recall, the Yellows have been loudly bewailing what they refer to as wrong history being taught in schools. Historical revisionism as they claim is the fault of the past generation for failing to properly educate the young about the past, about the dark days of Martial law, about the sacrifices of the heroes who fought to topple Ferdinand Marcos, and the like. If this is new, then this must be the product of their recent protestations.

What I know is, this was the way it is since 1986. So their whining has no basis. If the young have fallen astray from the Yellow version of history, it is most probably because they have become sick and tired of it, found it an ultimate bore, so unreal and too fantastic to take seriously.

And to think, the Yellows want DepEd to add Martial law as one subject in the elementary and high school curriculum.

  9. There is an Aquino Cojuangco hacker, who write by the name : Hayden. I am Hyden Toro or Toro Hayden. I am different from that YellowTard idiot: Hayden ! This person is a fake…he does not speak for me !

  10. WHAT ARE THESE LP’s SAYING FOLLOW THE RULE OF LAW? THE YELLOW’s RULE OF LAW? HERE IS THE YELLOW’s RULE OF LAW….PROLIFERATION OF DRUGS, CRAFT AND CORRUPTION, TREASON, PLUNDER, LAND GRABBING, AND CRIMINALITY. THAT’S WHAT THE PILIPINOS GET FROM THEM.

  11. The YellowTards are employing Hackers, to blog for you, using your blog name.

The Blog is in favor of them ! And , they put a Virus, below their blogs; so that you cannot reply …

My position is always : anti Aquino, Anti Aquino Cojuangco political axis, anti Liberal party and pro Filipino..

Anybody using my name , blogging on the contrary is a Fake. They are trying to discredit me…as they will be trying to discredit you !

  12. The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education.

It’s a totally irony when it comes to the Failippines. Truth is such a bitch, ain’t it?

  13. THE DUTERTE ADMINISTRATION SHOULD CALL ON THE PEOPLE WHETHER TO INCLUDE PLUNDER, RAPE, TREASON, AND OTHER HEINOUS CRIMES COMMITTED TO THE DEATH PENALTY. IF IT’S ONLY REGARDING DRUGS, FAMILIES BEING VICTIMIZED BY OTHER HEINOUS CRIMES WILL TAKE THE LAW INTO THEIR OWN HANDS. ONLY THOSE WHO ARE AGAINST OTHER CRIMES TO BE INCLUDED ARE THOSE AFRAID THEY WILL FALL TO SUCH CRIMES.

  14. it should be the people now to tell what they want for their Motherland and not the congress etc..

    1. The Congress is suppossed to do what the people that elect them tell them to do, not holding them to account is the people’s fault.

  15. what is life imprisonment if there’s a law when you reach 70 years old you’re not supposed to be in jail?

  16. there are still many corrupt officials of the past still in the house today that’s why they want plunder graft and corruption out of death penalty.

  17. SO FRIKKIN’ WHAT? As children become adults they can make up their own minds, or do you think they aren’t capable? or R U just jealous they aren’t learning about you? OR YOUR HERO BING-BING MARCOS? The Aquino’s are part of the history of the Nation, get over it…as learning about them and who they are, or who they are made out to, be is inevitable.

  18. The Aquinos are part of history…they distorted history, and made themselves , heroes and saints…we are not jealous of anything.

We only want to right the things, that are wrong in our country…Marcos is history…whatever you think of him, is your business…

We want this Aquino history to be featured in the way they are: traitors and political opportunists. They are also plunderers and thieves.

We don’t want any political propaganda in our textbooks !

  19. What a Hitler-loving Nazi-Loving Martial Law Deniers, Neo-Nazis, Holocaust Deniers Pro-Marcos loyalists they are because they hate yellows and yellowtards.

Marcos apologia should be hip for its own good for its propaganda machine.

    1. TROLLING and SHITPOSTING. That’s what Yellow and leftist cucks always do with their own propaganda machine, which is evident in your SPAM.

If you think that the ‘everything is better after 1986’ is not propaganda for you, then yeah… TROLL and SHITPOSTER confirmed. 🙂

  20. What a Hitler-loving & Nazi-Loving Martial Law Deniers, Neo-Nazis, Holocaust Deniers and pro-Marcos loyalists they are because they hate yellows, communists, gays, anti-semites, xenophobes and yellowtards.

Marcos apologia should be hip for its own good for its propaganda machine.

    1. @FAGBoy:

What am Aquino-loving and Left-loving hypocritical douchebags you are because you want the same old shit all over again.

Trolling, shitposting. and Millenial stupidity should be hip for its own good for your own Yellow propaganda machine.

Set your priorities for once, hypocritical douche. 🙂

    1. @Propagada Boy:

I am not aligned to any politician or political party. My opinions or blogs are for the truth.

If you agree with me, then thanks. If you don’t agree with me. Thank you also.

We want sensible rebuttals. Not branding people, who disagree with you. The YellowTards oversold themselves. They are worshipping their “false gods”; the Aquinos.

  21. @ Propaganda Boy:

I am not a Loyalist to any politician, or any political faction or political party. I am giving information to the Blog readers; the truth. Not political propaganda. I am Pro Filipino !

I am gainfully employed in the U.S. I do not need, any political loyalty, to anybody. If you agree with what I write…Thank you ! If you do not agree…Thank you, also. It is the readers who will decide what they believe.

They are old enough, to have minds of their own ! Not unlike the Aquino Cojuangco propaganda machine. If you write against them: you are a pro Marcos Loyalist.

What if I write about the Proliferation of the illegal drug Shabu, under the Aquino administration ? I am Pro Marcos Loyalist, because of it ?

    What a YellowTard !

  22. It’s infested in all pre-school, Grade school, and Highschool Books. It’s all filled with propaganda. Even in ALS (alternative learning system) the modules are filled with it. This government is brainwasing it’s youth in some ways.

  23. @Propaganda Boy Would you want an independent Truth Commission on EDSA86 to settle the controversies once and for all that should be composed of historians, sociologists and anthropologists so that what is fed as history in our schools be corrected ?

    1. @Ngek Ngek:

He won’t listen because when everything is solved then their own hissy fits and propaganda would end as well. Yellow and Leftist apologia should be hip for its own good for its propaganda machine and their victims of their propaganda are the stupid Millenials.

  24. I don’t care if we have super crazy Marcos Loyalist claims like Tallano gold! Let’s go to TheStagnantFilipino where my post was!

    1. You’re using another GRP username just to continue on your shitposting? Sorry, but your efforts for TROLLING are OBSOLETE.

    1. @FAKE DIO a.k.a. Propaganda FAGBoy:

Just claim that you’re a shitposting TROLL and everything will be fine. Oh wait, you can’t because leftist yellow cucks are real-life cowards!

  25. Whatever fake Dio and BrokenMatt! Besides from just hating yellows and communists and muslim rebels. Marcos Loyalists also hate Jews and Anti-Semites as well! They love ultranationalism!

  26. From the time, Ysidra Cojuangco, who was a “pok pok” of Gen. Antonio Luna…she was entrusted the Katipunan’s Mexican gold coins…the gold coins, disappeared from the face of the Earth…then, reappeared as Hacienda Luisita of Tarlac…to the Japanese occupation, by which Benigno Aquino Sr., who was a Japanese collaborator, by founding the KALIBAPI Party…to the time the communist support of Ninoy Aquino…these people of the Aquino Cojuangco political axis are plainly evil…

Ninoy Aquino scammed the Philippine government by purchasing the Tarlac Tabacalera, using the Philippine Banks. He never paid the loan.

During the Communist insurgency, he founded the New People’s Army, and was an ardent financial and material supporter of the communist insurgents. He knew the bombing of the Liberal Party, “miting de avance” at Plaza Miranda. He was absent there during the bombing…he allowed his party mates to be bombed, by the NPA…now they are heroes in our textbooks…

Ninoy Aquino, is a crook, a scammer, an amoral person and a political opportunist !

  27. Truth to be told, history books, whether it’s in the Philippines or the US, or any other country, are filled with LIES. There’s more truth on the internet than there are in history books. Besides, everything we are thought in school in general are ALL LIES. School is nothing but an indoctrination center. They’re not teaching us what we need to know, they want to fill our heads with a bunch of lies and half-truths, confusing the youth. They want us to believe the lies. It feels like I haven’t learned anything while I’m in school. This is why I don’t trust the school system in general. They want to keep the younger generation dumb. It’s our job to educate them and tell them the truth.
