High-performance choppers transport Kris Aquino to Cebu LP campaign!

Rarely would one witness such an awesome array of Philippine government air assets assembled at one time — not even during a disaster! Exhibited in a recent set of photos making the social media rounds is what seems to be an armada of no less than five helicopters escorting presidential sister Kris Aquino to a campaign sortie. The photos along with a video were allegedly “leaked” and uploaded onto Facebook.

Various Facebook users who have since shared the photos and video allege that these were taken last Tuesday in Dalaguete, Cebu. One user who studied the images closely observed that these choppers — “three Bell 412s and a UH 60 Blackhawk” — are superior “twin engine versions of the single engine UH 1H now deployed to the frontlines”. He also stated that two helicopters would normally have been enough to transport a VIP to a site such as Dalaguete but that Malacanang “wanted two ‘decoys’ in addition to the two ‘primaries’.”

These lend credence to what many other people observe — that the massive scale of the set of equipment deployed to transport Kris Aquino represents an astounding mis-allocation of scarce Philippine government resources for an end that does not serve the interests of the Filipino public.

Former North Catabato Governor MannyPiñol also shared the photos on his Facebook profile and wrote:

Today, I saw four photos posted in the freedom wall by a Facebook user which showed Presidential sister and actress Kris Aquino landing in Dalaguete, Cebu to join a Liberal Party campaign using not one, but five government helicopters.

Immediately, my blood boiled because two weeks earlier, a forest fire broke out in Mt. Apo destroying virgin forests with centuries-old red cedar trees.

The government sent one helicopter to drop water on the firezone to no avail.

The Bell UH-1H “Huey” helicopters which are the workhorses of Philippine Air Force support for counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism as well as disaster response operations of the Armed Forces of the Philippines are 1970s-vintage helicopters of a family of Hueys widely used during the Vietnam War. These can transport up to 13 troops and have been used extensively for rapid deployment and medical evacuation (medevac) sorties to combat zones and disaster areas.

The Bell 412 “Griffin” series of helicopters used by Kris Aquino for her campaign trip are high-performance choppers delivered to the Philippine military in 2015 as part of the modernisation programme of the Department of National Defense (DND). Some of these were configured for VIP transport and deployed as part of the Presidential Airlift Wing while others were configured for combat utility.

While the need for decent VIP transport for local and foreign dignitaries is understandable, this unnecessary extravagance — specially surrounding a trip of dubious public benefit — only further degrades public confidence over the way their taxes are spent. Kris Aquino, for one, has been relatively mum about politics over the last several months since campaign period started, until recently. It is likely that the poor showing of the Liberal Party (LP) bet for the presidency, Mar Roxas and his sidekick Leni Robredo, has prompted the party machine to switch into high gear for the homestretch.

Perhaps, when push comes to shove and all the cards are on the table, hiya takes a backseat to desperation. Kris Aquino, it seems, is the ace the LP had reserved specifically for such desperate times. Fortunately for the LP it also has a flight of shiny high-performance choppers to play that card. LP wins, Filipinos lose.

  1. The Aquinos are of the opinion that they OWN this country and can therefore pretty much do as they please. They have lost all links to reality and live in their made up dream world at the cost of everyone else. I bet you that they are wondering why people are upset about their shenanigans, because they can’t comprehend that they are out of control.

This Kris Aquino is just a stupid and vile personification of moral perversion; impairment of virtue and moral principles and she is in a state of progressive putrefaction. I’m waiting on a daily basis for her karma to catch up with her and will most certainly celebrate when it finally happens.

  2. >> an astounding mis-allocation of scarce Philippine government resources for an end that does not serve the interests of the Filipino public.

Ah well. Business as usual then.

  3. While all Filipinos are preoccupied with “bad words” from Duterte, the PNoy administration boldly uses resources bought by tax payer’s money to campaign for Roxas.

Filipinos really do not know what to fucking prioritize.

  4. Already saw a reply somewhere from Jim and Leah. The two said we are nitpicking; “Kris is entitled to presidential perks because she is a presidential sister.” Jim added it might be a sign they are winning because opponents have resorted to nitpicking, or something to that effect.

Pwede ba, pag, untugin nyo yun dalawa para matauhan..

  5. Defensive posts say she is just doing the job of representing or joining the president at the inauguration of the San Carlos power plant in Cebu. And she’s entitled to that. And it’s not a political rally. DAW. OK.

But then in an article about that, I spotted this thing:

From San Carlos City, the President and his party flew to Argao town in southern Cebu for a political rally.” If he used the choppers for that, that’s to be called out for.

    1. The siblings could have just shared a helicopter instead of guzzling all that fuel. The life of oligarch must be so tedious that they need all that space while flying en route.

      1. They apparently think that the loss of more than one Aquino in a helicopter crash would be a terrible blow to the nation. Perhaps someone needs to enlighten them?

    2. Even suspicious.

[Aquino, some of his cabinet members and Cebu’s some of Cebu provincial government officials] will arrive on chopper and proceed immediately to Secretary Serge M. Remonde Sports and Cultural Center in Argao where the local leaders of Cebu are gathered.

There are three beneficiaries of the government’s major programs in Cebu who will give testimonials during the event.

These include a graduate of the Philippine Science High School, a beneficiary of the Pamilyang Pantawid program, and a beneficiart of the handloom Shared Service Facility (SSF) of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

Sounds like testimony time to show how great the Tuwid na Daan is.

  6. The Whore, Kris Aquino, is not even an elected government servant. She is just a sister of that mentally retarded Benigno Aquino III.

It is a case of ABUSE of POWER, to use government resources, for campaigning in an election. Five new vintage helicopters, for that fucking whore, Kris Aquino. Who does, she thinks, she is? A Queen or a Princess?

Do not vote for Mar Roxas, Leni Robredo , or any of the Liberal Party candidates. “Ginigisa na tayo, sa sarili natin mantika”…

These are our taxpayers’ money. They are using it, to get our votes…so that they can Abuse us again. Kick these Rascals Out of Power…

  7. Duterte maybe guilty of speaking bad words but the Aquinos are definitely guilty of bad actions combined with impunity at its worst!!!

  8. Question, which is the worst part of this story? That resources were wasted or that most people think that this helicopters that have been retired by most 1st world countries are brand new high performance helicopters?

    1. Both.

You forgot to ask the most important and by far the worst part – – – Why is such brazen corruption being tolerated without even a yell approaching the loudness of a Duterte “foul-mouth” faux pas?

  9. What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?
