Net manyaks abuzz again over Wally Bayola and Yosh Rivera scandal!!

How else do you describe what is really going on in the world of Filipino Internet “activism” nowadays when it is plainly obvious just looking at search statistics that Eat Bulaga celebs Wally Bayola and Yosh Rivera are the hot topic!

yosh_riveraReports in mainstream media so far cannot positively confirm that the two showbiz personalities are actually the people featured in the video. An report, for example, simply states that the short flick “shows a couple, who look like Wally and EB Babe Yosh, enganged in a steamy sex [sic]”

An account of what transpired in the six-minute video is laid out in an report

Monday, the Internet erupted in frenzy when rumors spread of a Wally Bayola and Yosh Rivera video scandal.

A video on YouTube and several video file-sharing sites show a bald man and woman engaging in a hot and steamy sex act.

The Wally Bayola scandal footage goes on for six minutes, fourteen seconds which gave viewers time to arrive at their own decisions as to whether the couple was the “Eat Bulaga” host and EB Babes dancer.

Towards the end of the supposed Wally Bayola sex video, the couple looks at the camera and offers a parting smile. The man then kisses the woman, who is believed to be EB Yosh.

Filipino daytime “variety shows” usually feature battalions of scantily-clad girls dancing suggestively in the background while mainstay comedians and show hosts banter in the foreground. What happens backstage, however, is anybody’s guess. Then again, as videos like this make evident (allegedly, of course), what goes on backstage may be a no-brainer.

One thing’s for sure, Net manyaks out there are giving thanks to the gods of mobile phone technology for progressively delivering clearer and sharper home-made videos. The really disturbing thing about this is that noon-time television shows in the Philippines are pitched as “family entertainment”. No surprise then that Filipinos get the society they deserve.

    1. whats your point? a sex scandal doesnt reflect the IQ of the nation,,the way you wrote your comment,,you are either drunk or just doesnt have an IQ

      1. Measure your IQ, then punch yourself in the face for being so stupid.
        And watch less lunchtime tv.

And my point. You missed the point.

      2. Lionel, Willie Revillame at his peak in ABS CBN, how much was he making??? Reality is he made so much money because he reached so many people. Since he reached so many people advertisers paid him and whatever channel he was on tons of money. So, what are you saying again about the IQ of the nation???

    2. That’s sad and totally offensive, Gogs, that you’ll have to drag the nation with Wally’ indiscretion.

Sad because from page one of this blog , I don’t remember Wally’s name being mentioned on the same line that talks about IQ of this nation.

Offensive because it looks like you are punishing an entire people who have nothing to do with the personal acts of individuals.

If you can make irresponsible comments on a remote and personal case such as Wally’s, imagine what you can do on other cases with the same casualty: the nation.

        1. Gogs you are just another idiot that makes yourself feel better by using a mistake of one person and comparing it to a stereotype of the nation. Stop sitting behind a computer desk and pretending that you yourself are no where near to the IQ that you are pointing out. Such an idiotic comparison. Your comment is so idiotic that only you yourself can see the idea into work.

        2. @lol

That is as butthurt as a typical Pinoy can get.

Why don’t you just point out things if you are against Gogs’ views instead of whining. Or maybe you don’t a have a point because you missed the whole idea of the article?

      1. Well, that’s just the same principle at work when the ENTIRE nation is rewarded by the achievements of a tiny minority of exceptional individuals like Manny Pacquiao.

        1. Rewarded by the achievements of who, Wally Bayola? What’s the nation got to do with Wally’s zipper? I mean, c’mon guys, enough of the stretch.

I may agree with you on the emptiness of noontime shows and the IQ of those who follows them but I cannot simply go along with the idea that the fate of the nation’s IQ rest between the legs of the dancer that Wally pumped for all to see.

        2. There you go. The quality of choice entertainment of a society reflects the quality of the collective imagination and aesthetic sensibilities of said society. This is but a telling organic revelation of the TRUTH about Da Pinoy. 😀

        3. “The quality of choice entertainment of a society reflects the quality of the collective imagination and aesthetic sensibilities of said society.” – I believe this. I dislike almost all of the primetime shows here. Sidebar: I even observe some radio FM shows here and one of their favorite topics are sex and motels. But no serious discussion about it, only for giggles. Yeesh.

        4. There has been more discussion here over man (or are they woman?) yaks than there has been serious discussion over the the pork mess that has been visible to me, a foreigner, since I came her and married in 2004.

Somehow I suspect that the word “manyak” is the original authors lame attempt at humor by misspelling “maniac.”

  1. Seriously, We don’t really care whether this video is true or not but the obvious reason is nowadays Filipinos tend to forget the values and ethics taught to us when we were younger. These two should be ashamed of themselves for taking a video of their sex escapades, pity them that this video went viral. Technologies provided for us are there to be used responsibly. It is entertaining for some to see videos such as these but it only goes to show how some of us bluntly proves the world that they are not different from animals in terms of behavioral rational thinking.

    1. Provocative display is part of the vocabulary of sex. What is there to be “ashamed” of? Who hasn’t posed suggestively in front of a mirror when trying on underwear or swim suits? I wish I had a video of myself when I was younger and in shape. Celebrate the human body. Down with censorship.

    2. Renee. Here is an exercise for you. Look at what is popular in Pinoy culture and try to extrapolate the values of the culture based on what is popular.

    1. I have watched periodically, and if that is a non-taxable perk of the host then it is no surprise.
Apart from abusing kids, making toothless women beg for money, and the inevitable sob stories, it is also a meat market with the girls available for ‘private dances’
The problem is if you channel hop you get ‘copy cat’ shows elsewhere lunchtime, and evening.
There is no attempt to balance tv output, or raise the bar, simply pander to the lowest common denominator, and advertisers needs.
If you include in programme advertising, and the very annoying screen pop ups adverts must account for 35% of screen time. Are there no laws against this.

  2. “Filipino daytime “variety shows” usually feature battalions of scantily-clad girls dancing suggestively in the background while mainstay comedians and show hosts banter in the foreground.”
And yet it surprises me how some people have been reacting to Miley Cyrus’s VMA performance. As if we don’t see these kind of things (though a little more subtly) in our variety shows.

  3. I say, remove trash shows from primetime TV. Instead they should provide more intelligent shows (not necessarily hosted by Kap).

But then again, that would be against the overall mission of oligarchs and catholics “keep them dumb, keep them poor”

  4. If true, Wally and the girl on the sex video deserves the condemnation they’re getting right now. They practically ruined their respective careers.

I think the scandal are more personal to the perpetrators and should be dealt with accordingly. I don’t believe that the shows where they work for or even the channel they’re employed with should not be dragged into the scandal for, they too, are also victims of such unfortunate events.

  5. Ka-awa awa ang mag-iina ni Wally. I saw his family pic they seem to be lovely. Definitely, lamat na itong maituturing. Nangyari na ang nangyari, magsisi man sila, all they can do is apologize to their families. The way people will look at them will never be the same again.

  6. Net “manyaks” abuzz again over Wally Bayola and Yosh Rivera scandal!!

A search of yaks, which are the second largest species of wild bovids. gyag – in Tibetan this refers only to the male of the species, the female being called a dri or nak. In English, as in most other languages which have borrowed the word, “yak” is usually used for both sexes.
There is no such thing as a “man” yak, just as there is no such thing as a ‘woman” yak. They are generally called male and female yaks.

  7. Such is the age-old saying, You are what you consume. But who knows if this “side-dish” of a scandal was meant to “sidetrack” the fatter main dish, or if there are more “side-dishes” underway…

  8. I really hope divorce is acceptable in the Philipines. Mind you, this guy is NO good looking guy, but he´s married to a beautiful wife and beautiful kids. His kids could easily watch this video. Maybe they have and are even beyond disguisted. I feel sad for them. Theres no going round it… it sure looks exactly like him. I would divorce him and find someone who treats you right and doesnt throw their family away faster than they can push record on a camera.

  9. It happens the world over but the difference is that the filipino/chinese view is that mistresses/affairs are status symbols, and tolerated by wives, and no big public fallout if you are caught
and no divorce keeps wives dependent/subservient even when wronged

In the west ” what car do you drive”

In the east ” what mistress do you ‘drive’ ” – hard top korean models are selling well this year.

Come’on !

  13. “Then again, as videos like this make evident (allegedly, of course), what goes on backstage may be a no-brainer.” — which is YIKES and gross alert!

By the way, ONLY 6 MINUTES?! Weak sauce. But seriously, it seems to me that incidents like these only highlight the secret/repressed attitudes of people towards sex. There is a sort of fixation involved.

Anyway, Wally can get laid all he wants but I am not watching THAT. I just think they’re stupid enough to have that video released, assuming that they didn’t want it to be seen. However, if they really wanted to be porn stars for a week, it still does not interest me.

  14. Inquirer news presented the news like a “blind item” segment on a TV celebrity show.

The local media are always treating its followers as uneducated readers. That’s why social media is making its way ahead of them.

  15. Lets face it,no matter how godly we all are or how god fearing we all are, there is always that evil side of us that shows up in any given moment, its a human nature,we all make mistakes in any which way, thats how we learn and grow as a person, all of us can make bad judgements anytime, that what happens to wally and yosh, the only difference here is that those personalities are on the microscope of the filipino people because of there status, its okay to pass judgement to this 2 people, for they commited the biggest mistake of there lives, but lest we forget thats how human beings evolve,to make mistakes, learn from it,reflect, move on,and grow from it

  16. This kind of stuff is one of the things I don’t really understand. Why record such an activity? Is this because of the trend #selfie? I think it’s not the IQ, it’s the EQ that people are so low at.

  17. A search of yaks, which are the second largest species of wild bovids. gyag – in Tibetan this refers only to the male of the species, the female being called a dri or nak. In English, as in most other languages which have borrowed the word, “yak” is usually used for both sexes.

      1. Close.

“Manyak” is a Tagalog transliteration of the English word “Maniac.” Used in this context, “Manyak” is short for “Sex Maniac.” Literally referring to someone overly obsessed with the sex act, its variations, and any especially sexually provocative act or behaviour. It can be loosely translated as “pervert.”

  18. There is no taking sides here, Yoshika is as guilty as Wally…they’re both walang delikadesa. They’re both reduced to be so called “Puta”. Sad to say but that’s what they are. They don’t have any business to be in each others genitalia much more document their lustful encounter. They just proved there is no cure for being stupid.

  19. They are publicity hungry people resorting to the most despicable way already. These people are despondent for instant fame. Very poor mentality when they are part of a family oriented fun show daily. They have the responsibily to depict goodness to the society and not lust and sex. They should belong to the porno industry or the prostitute business…

    1. I’ve thought of that possibility too… though I think that’s too much of a price to pay for a misdirection stint, lol.

    1. From Wikipedia

[Joey] De Leon coined the title of the show: Eat represents lunchtime while Bulaga (which means “surprise” in English) represents their plan to fill the show with lots of big surprises.

Crazy way of combining terms, right?

      1. “Bulaga” doesn’t literally mean surprise. It isn’t even an actual word. It’s an interjection used to startle or surprise. It is similar to the English expression “BOO!”

  21. utos ng isip bugso ng damdamin nais ng laman, alam nang kamalian ngunit, wala ng pki alam khit maraming ng msagasaan bsta’t ang pakay ay masunod lang wala ng pki alam. wally ang yosh u nid 2 apologz 2 ur own family and turn to GOD pls repent 2 him. and i believe dats 1 of the stratigy of evil doers todestroy and to kill. taggapin nyo kung ano man ang mging outcome ng ginawa nyo. tnx

  22. Wow so many pipz are nega. Walang hypocrites Di ba or Kung Di naman ginagawa eh in our wildest wet dreams eh gusto nating Gawin.
Yun Lang. Shout out Kay Yosh Ganda ng parte mo between your legzzz hahahaha

  24. I’m surprised not one ever mentioned the difference between INTELLECTUAL IQ and EMOTIONAL IQ. Pinoys/Pinays are well know for “wearing their emotions on their sleeves”. Very evident on how people would immediately attack the WRITER/COMMENTATOR focusing on ONE negative word pulled out of the whole sentence or statement. We don’t lack the intellectual IQ, most are just emotionally smitten with the kind of entertaining trash chosen by the media for the continuing saga of irreversible ignorance imposed on the masses.
