Sure Israel bombed Gaza to smithereens and, sure, it is now doing pre-emptive strikes on military targets in Iran. Sure, the United States, is now involved in this conflagration and, together with Israel, will likely bring the Islamic regime of Iran to its knees.
So what’s wrong with all that? Is that good enough reason for woke and communist “activists” to take a “stand with Iran” position on the matter as the Philippines’ Kabataan partylist did?

Interesting, because Iran is an authoritarian state with none of the “freedoms”, “gender equality”, democratic institutions and all the spice and everything nice woketard “activists” routinely screech about.
The trouble with wars nowadays is that the winners don’t get to totally crush their enemies’ ability to fight another day the way they did almost a century ago when they nuked Japan and carpet bombed Germany. This is thanks to the modern need to tiptoe — at great risk to troops on the ground — around scrutiny applied to conduct of combat by “civil society” groups watching from a distance.
Which side will you fight for when the shooting starts? This is the question staring pedestrian “activists” in the face.

I will always be against authoritarian/ totalitarian/ theocratic states/government even if the leaders of democratic countries are as stupid as Larry Gadon or Bato dela Rosa. Ni
I hope there will be a regime shift in Iran. The sooner; The better. But that is not a good reason to go to war against Iran.
Israel has been dealing with adversaries effectively for a couple of thousand years. Those who attack Israel are almost always diabolical fools.
As the only Christian majority country in Asia Philippines would do well to remember which side of the bread it must butter.
China would already have made PH into toast without USA.
The Philippines has already defeated China in the international courts. Soon, the ICC will arrest Xi and he can share a cell with Duterte
Only leaders from third world shit hole countries end up in The Hague, does chinas economy signify third world shit hole status? Xi will die comfortably in china while 7 millions flipinos will shit in the rivers and live out a horrible existence but don’t worry the Americans will save you
Israel was destroyed in the 1st century by the Roman’s and have been scattered and oppressed until the 20th century when they started killing poor defeated Arabs in the holy lands en masse via ww1, dealing with adversaries effectively for thousands upon thousands of years? ?? Bull shit history leads to bull shit perspectives, no wonder PI is a shit hole but go ahead and believe the Jews are supermen, flipinos love mythology
Iran under the Islamists is a great example of having overthrown the “oppressor,” the Shah and royal family, and being the new oppressor once you’ve taken over. I wonder if the activists have seen the pics of Iran before the revolution (a word wokes love), where the women were dressed like they were in the west, and after revolution photos where the women are forced to wear veils, burqas, and the like. If they knew the facts about Iran and about how other Arab countries block the formation of Palestine as a country, they should have a different opinion about it.
I think this also demonstrates how wokes and activists are just anti-American or anti-West ultimately, being Marxist-influenced, just so they can take over or make way for the “enlightened” who will be despots themselves.
@ChinoF “Arab countries block the formation of Palestine as a country”
Where can I read about this?
Or is it just another israeli lie?
In this, Former US Ambassador Ryan Crocker explains why states like Jordan and Syria actually don’t want Palestine to form a state.
https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2024/02/21/why-arab-states-wont-support-palestinians-qa-00142277
There you go…
To ChinoF.
After having read the article. Can you please citate in here the text in the article where Crocker explains why states like Jordan and Syria actually don’t want Palestine to form a state?
I can only read in the article e.g. this:
When asked: “So you think there has been a fairly consistent policy by the Arab states all along — one of rhetorically supporting the “Palestinian cause” but rejecting, in practice, any prospect of Palestinian independence?”
His answer is this: “After the Khartoum summit [of Arab leaders following the Six Day War], rhetorical support for the PLO was the staple of Arab politics. Yet the actual practice of Arab governments vis-a-vis the Palestinians was exactly the opposite”
Which actually is not the same thing as “not wanting Palestine to form a state”.
Lack of support for the Palestinian cause is the functional equivalent of not wanting the formation of the Palestinian state.
@ChinoF, maybe according to your own logic/mind. But according to general consensus of what it means you have some deep troublesome explanation to do… also to yourself.
It’s more the leap of logic to say other Arab countries support Palestine as a state.
Like here, another article says Arab leaders see pro-Palestine protests as destabilizing. That in turn will lead to non-support of the Palestinian “movement.”
https://responsiblestatecraft.org/arab-leaders-not-helping-palestinians/
@ChinoF, I dont know if you are too emotional or if your belief or your worldview are being challenged here, but you are clearly not using logical reasoning when you say that countries that block the formation of Palestine as a state is the same as countries that lack support for the palestinian cause.
So I have nothing left to say to you since you’re impossible to reason with.
Not supporting Palestine’s cause would be as good as blocking it.
Activists standing with Iran and protesting against Israel and the US best include Jordan, Syria, and those other countries that refuse to help Palestinians or accept refugees, otherwise they show that they don’t know how it really works.
Not supporting Palestine’s cause would be as good as blocking it. –> I should add, from the viewpoint of the Palestinians themselves and their actual supporters, which is the usual equivalence behavior of some people.
This is why replacing the gear won’t change a damn thing. I may not be able to exit from this at one time but I am withdrawing my consent.
the youth of the philippines, would do well to learn from the life, and death, of yonatan netanyahu.
served in the sayeret metkal, died in the raid in entebbe
he DID NOT go to rallies, hold silly plackards and march around like a faggot fool.
@megget
Then what would you do if you were a kid in the Philippines who want change in the world or atleast in the country?
get off the silly tiktok and online games, start reading, get fit, play sports, observe the world , find out how things work, know your purpose, make a plan and do it.
and you dont really “change the world” – only faggot fools believe that.
you only change yourself.
if youre good enough, the world will follow.
if youre not good enough, then fuck’em
@megget “if youre good enough, the world will follow.”
I believe you are kind of narrowminded if you think so.
First you claim that you dont really change the world.
Then you claim that if youre good enough the world will follow.
That is a contradictory.
thats because you havent BenThere and you havent DanThat
Who cares what side the 3rd world shithole that is the Philippines is on, PI will still be a shithole 100 years from now no matter what, theyll serve they’re masters faithfully whoever it is
You probably don’t live in the shithole side of the Philippines.
The whole country and its dumbass people are shit, why would I want to live with the most ignorant, gullible, submissive and dumbest people on earth. When I was in Manila, it smelled like shit, later I found that millions of flipinos shit in the rivers, saw homeless families sitting on cardboard begging, flith and rubbish everywhere, bunch of kids everywhere with no adults in sight, horrible traffic and pollution, disgusting lady boys and mostly unattractive women, the place was a living hell and the definition of a shithole, the only thing one can conclude is that the people are shit and colonial mentality lives in the country rent free, glad I was born in the US and not shitholepines
that would be manila, yes..the undisputef ladyboy capital of tje philippines
What value prosition can an entitled Filipino idiot is capable to offer his country of origin besides the all too familiar crazy rude remarks and noisy adhominems?
Arrogant claims of having been born in the US as an imagined advantage over others convey nothing but only signifies a crooked and obsolete mentality of a lazy parasite clown banking of the economic glory of its First world host country… obviously not a true exhibit of his own personal labor.
It’s an imbalanced psychological world-view discrepancies that lead to nowhere and will uplift neither himself nor his adopted and favored citizens- like the human rats that habitate and roam the miserably dirty and hellishly smelly underground tunnels (to the aboveground affluence of Las Vegas) and other similarly situationed sites elsewhere in the US.
In other words, Steven and other No Data type clones can endlessly wallow in their stupid and conceited thinking but they can’t be seen or recognised as human assests capable of delivering something of value either here or there. Filipino parasites to the first world aren’t considered the country’s loss.
This is one proof, according to Henley Private Wealth Migration Report 2025: Despite global crises and a weak peso, the number of millionaires in the Philippines is still rising.
@Segal “the number of millionaires in the Philippines is still rising”
That means so little, and it’s not proof that the country is getting better.
@Segal “value prosition”
If you mean value proposition: Well, I guess it all depends on whether you understand/comprehend/agree with it. If not then ofcourse you do not see it as value proposition.
@segal
lol you didn’t dispute anything I saw in Manila but I guess you’re right 4k gdp per capita sounds like heaven, continue to be jealous I was born in the colonizers country and you were born in that third world shithole, go make you’re 400 pesos for a days work hahahah Manila smells like shit go clean you bum, go get ready to defend your master, the white man Fagget, you’re poor btw I’m not flipino, I was never a subject like you
@BenThere:
What is there to understand/comprehend/agree with in a value proposition that does not exist or has not been introduced/initiated yet from a query that you’ve just reacted to?
In trying to be technical, perhaps, you missed the point entirely… culturally, that is…
As you can see, outsider confused pinoys, typically that of the Steven-types above speak of no value, hold no proposition to anything universally meaningful. But they thrive with their shameless pretense as they freeload on the back of their imagined affinity with their first world host. These Filipino parasites think they’re a special breed but are actually humankind’s abnormality.
@Steven:
So you are not Filipino… just an idiot?! Hmmm… your spineless spirit is supreme…
Posturing as a person of value and importance but having no skin in the game of another’s third world shithole, shouldn’t you be more actively concerned with your own version of your first world shithole? You should pay your adopted compatriots a visit and experience that same shithole yourself.
@Segal
If you look more carefully you can read one of my comments which can be considered value proposition
@Segal
*If you look more carefully you can read one of my comments about socialistic ideas which can be considered value proposition
@ Segal
lol I’m sure you’re a person of great value to PI, you make PI the third world shit he it is, I brought value to the US by joining its military, what value did you bring to the PI but make it a third world shit hole
Flipinos are the most thinned skinned losers in the world can’t take any criticism without calling other idiots, you’re country is complete shit and you’re talking about some meth heads who live in Las Vegas BY CHOICE in the sewers where as your WHOLE country lives in shit NATURALLY, the meth heads underground can clean themselves up and find work, dumb flipinos send off their citizens to be abused because they have to
You talk shit but never countered what I saw in Manila which got your panties all in a bunch, lol made all kinds of assumptions, host country?my race? You assume I’m a flipino rat like you, dumbasses like you aren’t worldly , you live in the shit hole bubble that is the third world and clearly can’t deal hahaha what a piece of shit you are, now go make your $7 to $10 usd per day and stay mad at foreigners who actually live a good life you flipino fagget, hahahah mad cause all the foreigners taking your good looking women, you’re stuck with ugly fat ones
@Steven Zuniga
You must really care deeply, since you put in so much of your time telling us how bad the country and its people are and you’re not even filipino. But the thing is: you are wrong when you generalize a whole people of being spineless, weak etc. And that is not helpful but unconstructive…
So you were horrified when you were there. I remember I was too when I visited someone once in the hospital in Cebu, almost inhumane conditions if you are poor.
note: If I’m wrong about you then you must seriously be the stupidest and most hateful person alive.
@segal
“Posturing as a person of value and importance but having no skin in the game of another’s third world shithole, shouldn’t you be more actively concerned with your own version of your first world shithole? You should pay your adopted compatriots a visit and experience that same shithole yourself.”
Posture as a person of value and importance? lol never did I do that, that has to do with your low self value and colonial mindset, bc someone criticizes your shit country, which is in fact shit, even you agree to that, you take it as if the person criticizing is taking some high and mighty position over you, lol typical colonial subject, I’m not placing my self as a person of high value and importance you peasant, I’m just telling you the outsider’s perspective of your in fact shit country, nothing else , now take your inferiority complex and go make that 400 pesos for a days work hahah while I enjoy my 4th of July on the beach in Pacifica, ca hahaha, I think you guys celebrate July 4th too lol the US gave you you’re shit freedoms and colonial mindset don’t blame me for that peasant
@ Steven:
Your adopted compatriots “live in Las Vegas BY CHOICE in the sewers”?!
Having said that with full conviction, especially coming from the mouth (or keyboard in this case) of someone military-trained who was born in the most powerful and richest country on earth, that does says a lot.
“I’m just telling you the outsider’s perspective of your in fact shit country, nothing else”
That’s ok. We’re not mad at foreigners… only with scumbags.
You can also try your brand of racism by insulting us here, in person, not in cyberspace. You might be surprised. There’re lots of pro-western worshiping confused KSP Filipinos here with intensely hardcore colonial mentalities who have this kindred spirit connection with some First World moronic assholes. You’re in company.
You know you remind us of that notorious Russian-American Youtuber Vitaly Zdorovetskiy who said that he was meant to be born free and that he can do whatever he wants but ends up being incarcerated. He forgot, no foreign national is free to violate laws in any country of his choice. You reap what you sow. If you don’t appreciate it, you can try try your luck.
How’s your 4th of July on the beach in Pacifica?
It’s kinda troubling though, you’ve just enjoyed what’s considered as one of the filthiest in America. Haven’t you heard about the mysterious case of the SF Peninsula’s poop-polluted beaches? But don’t take my word for it. You check it out.
“Linda Mar Beach is also known as Pacifica State Beach, but it’s regrettably becoming even better known as one of California’s dirtiest stretches of sand. According to the 2023-2024 Beach Report Card from Heal the Bay…”
Also the homeless capital of the world, aka 3rd world shit hole, think about that for a sec Manila has more homeless than any city in black Africa, more than any of savage Muslim and their cities, more than even any stinky Indian city, truly pathetic the flipinos are
Then they ask questions about which side of this or that war the PI is on, who cares what side PI is on, what are they going to do, throw poop on the Chinese from their slums? Be human shields again like in WW2? Be an airplane carrier from savage genocidal nations? And then after all the destruction, go right back to being a 3rd world shithole, where 18 year girls have to date 78 retirees just to eat? Why don’t you have a little flipino pride and start by picking up the trash in you’re disgusting filthy capital?
@Steven. I somewhat agree with all of it. But it is of no matter if they start picking up the trash because where would they put their trash… where will it end up?!
What they need to do is to put some socialistic ideas into their heads like universal healthcare, universal access to education, higher progressive taxes. The country as of today is too much dog-eat-dog, every man for himself mindset
thats what happens when there are too many dogs and too many men
When they tried that the US army called them communist and killed them one by one with the help of the Philippine Constabulary, step one would be to rid the flipino of the historical myths and the colonial mindset, send the trash to Canada
rather than sending the trash to canada, why not terminate the trash generator altogether?
how does one eradicate poverty again?
all indications point to the sad finality – that eventually, we will just have to eat the poor.
So it seems Steven has a job to make Filipinos despise themselves, when he could just go on living the dream life he pretends to have. You can actually shape the narrative by projecting onto the internet even without typing. They’re already collecting metadata and it’s just going to be a battle.
I am sorry, but I think this article is just being a contrarian because a political group you don’t like is on the right side of history for a change. Even a broken clock can tell the correct time once in a while. Donald Trump has just pushed the world closer to World War 3 than the previous us presidents by doing a direct attack on Iran. At least with Russia, NATO used Ukraine and foreign soldiers as proxies. He chickened out on his trade war with China and having a fall out with his best buddy, Elon. And his supporters still think “it’s just all part of the plan.” Truth is there really no plan; he is just making it up along the way.
God and AI both have a plan
for AI, i suspect the plan, eventually, is to eat the poor
harvest the organs , send off the
meat to the MaLing factories, and so on.
so efficient, so many birds with a single stone. so machine-like.
Now God’s plan is just straight up destruction.
he’s done it many times before( think noah’s flood).
he’ll do it again. God is a killer.
the truth is trump probably doesnt even know where the philippines in on a map and that your in fact third world shit hole country and its people are nothing more than future human shields and rape victims for the coming war on asia
yup, this is correct.
people living in the setbacks and sidewalks of streets and selling and parking on the actual street, and NOTHING is being done.
people walk around in a haze in the early morning,going who knows where.
riding four to a motorcycle with a baby dangling on the side.
even the barangay halls are right on the street, election posters everywhere.
third world zombie land.
but the rich have mansions though.
bet your congressman is building another beach resort right now.
The UP and Ateneo commietards are hardly relevant anymore. Their whole strategy of importing the Western woke culture war during Rodrigo Duterte’s term backfired when Marcos Jr. succeeded him on 2022, using Sara no less as his ally to capture the populist voter base. I would say they also contributed to Trump’s 2nd term, considering that they would have had access to Western social media (particularly Twitter/X and Reddit) and thus have dabbled into the liberal vs conservative ideological battles in the West.
That being said, the whole Filipino nation needs to wake the F up and stop shilling for Western imperialism and Zionism. Washington is playing BBM and his admin like a fiddle, setting this country up as a potential site for a US vs China proxy war. The lack of vocal opposition to the Philippines’ continued status as a US vassal (coming from the regular Filipino citizenry, that is) is the reason that the NPA terrorists keep making noise and spouting out their cringe presence in their rallies. While these very same leftist dummies are nowhere to be found when it comes to the problem of foreign men abandoning their half-Pinoy children, or racism against Asian-Americans (including Filipino-Americans)
There is no 4d chess when it comes to PI, there’s no link between what happens in the PI with the US, the truth is PI is a third world shithole that no one in the US cares and some don’t even know about, the truth is you and you’re people are less than irrelevant, you’re just insurance for a future war in Asia, future human shields and future rape victims and guess what? You deserve it for being spineless, weak and subservient
@Steven “You deserve it for being spineless, weak and subservient”
Although I agree that the country is shitty as hell. Generalizing a whole people like that is a weakness of yours and shows your stupidity.
So you agree but don’t afree and you call me stupid? It’s one or the other dummy and the PI is a collective of everyone in the country dumb fuck, geez no wonder you’re country is dog shit if they have thinkers like you, get off the phone and go make your 400 pesos for the day you third world poor piece of dog shit, PI and flipinos are pathetic
@Steven
I would agree if most of the people are “spineless, weak and subservient”. Which I will disagree that most are. So you see; It’s not the one or the other. Hence you are the dumb one in here.
Out of all the cities in the world Manila has the most homeless, I think to be number 1 in that category shows a lot about the flipinos, how weak and pathetic they are, now go ahead and tell me how dumb I am blah blah blah, you onion skin losers can’t take constructive criticisms which is why you live in a shithole
These articles are great, it’s as if you think anyone outside the PI gives a damn about the PI, cute the way you third world nothing POS think
Flipinos are spineless weak and subservient, you cling onto the west, its culture and “values” and its protection while you’re countrymen and women suffer, nothing more pathetic than that, now go ahead with the name calling you flipino fagget, no one in the us cares about the PI they last thought of the PI when pac was fighting, it’s a nothing country with nothing people, even flipinos in the US say it’s a dog shit country and its best to run away from that hell hole asap
Steven sounds like he gives a whole lot of damn about the country’s fate. That’s just flattering tbh.
this is correct about manila and the northern politicians
they are akin to “house slaves” , believing themselves superior to the south, profiting from the scraps of the colonizer master’s table, but are actually a bunch of passive aggressuve backstabbing bitches.
think “stephen” from django unchained
.
@Steven:
It truly amazes how critical thinking at times can actually be reversed into submissive/surrender thinking, that even made some people applaud to it in contradiction, through arrogant manipulation and/or rude suggestions.
Some of the things what Steven has written here looks more like in response to a job interview wherein he is being told to describe himself. It’s quite comical to say the least…
Steven is saying the Philippines is spineless, weak and subservient because she clings onto the west for its protection, but our neighbors, richer than us, are in no different situation. (Foreign Policy in every country varies but the ultimate pursuit is the protection of its national interest! Guess, in this case, geography dictates it.)
How would you now categorize top economic power countries like Japan, Korea, Italy, Germany, Great Britain, Spain, Australia and others using your same criteria of “clinging onto the west for protection”?
According to the Data sourced from a Congressional Report of 2024 and Troop Data from Defense Manpower Data Center of March 2024:
Japan tops the list of countries with the most US bases (Japan has 14 bases,) and also leads the list of countries with the most US troops (with 53k US troops). Why is a First World economic power Japan hosting US bases, Steven?
The Philippines has nine (9) bases, all categorized as “allied controlled”, meaning, we are the ones controlling these bases unlike that in Japan (and in other countries), with the exception of one (1) base in Kyogamisaki CS, all the rest are “US controlled” bases.
Most of every known U.S. military base overseas are categorized as “US controlled”. It does say something as far as your criteria is concerned, isn’t it?
You said that filipinos are onion skin losers and can’t take constructive criticisms but you are full of contradiction yourself. Would you be humble enough to admit it?
Though I will submit in agreement that we should rid the flipino of the historical myths and the colonial mindset and have a little flipino pride, why are you seeking an entitlement of exemption?
“… its best to run away from that hell hole asap…”
“… glad I was born in the US and not shitholepines.”
Then, the shameless denial, “I’m not flipino, I was never a subject like you.”
And you didn’t deny, it is better to be a neo-colonial idiot?!
@segal
Japan, Korea, Italy, Germany, Great Britain, Spain, Australia
lol how dare you put the PI in the category with these nations, are these nations making 4k annual gdp per capita, these nations basically make up THE WEST whereas the PI leads the world in homelessness, lol this is the problem you dumb Filipinos actually think you’re apart of the club, YOU’RE NOT, everyone posting on here, so analytical, will be a future human shield for the coming war in Asia, your towns and cities bombed, women raped because you were too weak, spineless, submissive and subservient to do what needed to be done decades ago, a flipino president once asked cia officer Edward lansdale if there was nuclear weapons on the island to which lansdale responded by punching and knocking the flipino president out, that’s emblematic of the entire flipino people, bunch of pussies, everyone of you posting here, you’re not critical observers, you’re a bunch of pussies on you’re phones while your shit country burns
Though I will submit in agreement that we should rid the flipino of the historical myths and the colonial mindset and have a little flipino pride, why are you seeking an entitlement of exemption?
*So you basically agree with my whole argument
“… its best to run away from that hell hole asap…”
*the quote is not in context propagandist, i was talking about what flipinos who came from PI to the US said about the country, I was born in the US so there’s no need to run away from any shit hole country
“… glad I was born in the US and not shitholepines.”
*And your problem is? Should I want to be a OFW?, should I want to live in the homeless capital of the world Manila? Should I want to live under a shit government? Should I want to live in a religious cult like you fucks?
Then, the shameless denial, “I’m not flipino, I was never a subject like you.”
*. lol again with the assumption that I’m flipino, keep it up Mr worldly, your so brave with you’re analysis of the PI, you and you’re country are really going places ahhahahahah
And you didn’t deny, it is better to be a neo-colonial idiot?!
*so telling the truth about your shit hole country and its weak people makes me a neo colonial idiot? lol whatever helps you sleep at night you fucking peasant, die poor you scum
Here’s a recent article that shows the flipinos as a bunch of cowards that they are if you don’t believe me and my harsh tone, lol it surprises me the most anti intellectual people are trying to come off as analytical, your believe in a bunch of dumb myths cmon on but anyways….
From medium:
Vietnam made headlines as it joined BRICS as a partner country. The move follows Indonesia’s earlier ascension as a full member and similar partner status for Malaysia and Thailand. As Southeast Asia quietly begins rebalancing its foreign relations, inching toward a multipolar future, one country remains on the sidelines, as predictable as ever: the Republic of the Philippines. For all its talk about an “independent foreign policy,” the Philippines continues to act like a nation that fears standing alone. While its ASEAN neighbors have learned to hedge — playing Washington, Beijing, and others off each other with calculated precision — Manila still clings tightly to the security blanket of its Cold War-era alliances where joining BRICS is not even on the table. And frankly, under the country’s current foreign policy mindset, it never will be.
The truth is that the Philippines is absent from the very conversation about what kind of global order it wants to help shape. That is not because it does not matter. It is because it does not know how to matter without asking the United States first. For decades, Manila has outsourced its sense of security to Washington. The Mutual Defense Treaty (MDT), the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA), and the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA) have created an almost co-dependent relationship. Every move in Philippine foreign policy seems calibrated not around national interest, but around American approval. That may have made sense in the 1950s. But in today’s fast-changing geopolitical landscape, it is starting to look like strategic paralysis. BRICS, in contrast, is built on a very different idea: that countries outside the Western club can set their own agenda. That they can invest in each other, build their own institutions, and — yes — push back against Western-led global norms. For many in the Global South, it is about breaking the monopoly, decolonizing, and empowering themselves. But the Philippines, stuck in a binary way of thinking, still treats any engagement with non-Western platforms as a dangerous flirtation with authoritarianism. “We can’t join BRICS — it is run by Beijing.” That is a convenient excuse, but it does not hold up. Vietnam has long-standing tensions with China, including its own maritime disputes. So does India. So does Brazil in other ways. And yet they are all in. Why? Because they understand that foreign policy is about balance, not loyalty. The bigger problem is that Philippine diplomacy lacks the imagination to explore what strategic flexibility might look like. Its Department of Foreign Affairs speaks the language of neutrality, but its actions consistently lean West. The security sector behaves as though it is still 1986, seeing every step away from Washington as a step toward danger. There is also an unwillingness to admit that institutions like the IMF, World Bank, and ADB — while helpful — do not have a monopoly on development solutions. The BRICS-led New Development Bank might not be perfect, but it represents something bold: an alternative. The Philippines does not even seem interested. But perhaps the most telling reason the Philippines will never join BRICS is this: we are still afraid to stand on our own. We still mistake alignment for protection, and caution for wisdom. In truth, we have not outgrown the idea that someone else should validate our place in the world.
While BRICS grows and other ASEAN member states quietly expand their options, the Philippines remains frozen — talking big about sovereignty, while practicing dependence. Unless there is a radical shift in how the country sees itself — not as a junior partner, but as a capable actor in a crowded, complex world — it will stay on the outside looking in. And when the new global order is finally written, Manila may realize too late that it declined a seat at the table — not because it was not welcome, but because it was too afraid to pull out the chair
To prove a point, Steven wants to control his deceptive narrative and decided to intentionally edit the end part out in the article of Mr. Christopher Paller Gerale.
Indeed, extremely dishonest but not intellectual. Tsk… Tsk…
Read and weep:
“Why the Philippines Will Never Join BRICS — And Why That Says Everything”
“Because make no mistake — joining BRICS, under its current configuration, is not a neutral economic choice. For the Philippines, it would be tantamount to fighting with the USA and to surrendering the West Philippine Sea without a fight. It would be like selling our souls to the very forces that undermine our sovereignty, our democracy, and our dignity. It would be like renouncing our hard-won freedoms, like turning our back on the very identity we claim to defend. To walk into BRICS now is not to pull out a chair at the table — it is to kneel at the feet of those who would see us silenced. And for a nation that so loudly proclaims its independence, that would be the ultimate betrayal.”

In doing what he does, we’re prompted to ask: What value education did Steven get from his joining the US military?
Mr. Zuniga should be reminded…
The primary aim of every nation’s foreign policy is to protect and advance its national interests within the international system.
Moreover, Steven tend to habitually lie, he claims: “the truth is trump probably doesnt even know where the philippines in [sic] on a map… ”
The truth though, Mr. Trump was in The Philippines in 2017, attended the 31st ASEAN Summit and met with President Rodrigo Duterte. So, go figure…
But, Trump’s defence chief pick cannot name a single ASEAN country.

Steven is a proud “outsider” living in the West, while appearing to support the BRICS alliance.
See, this is what happens when someone doesn’t owe honesty even to himself. Makes it easy to be a traitor and explains the sociopathic rhetoric. These types are employable to bring people and nations down because they themselves don’t have a real sense of worth.
the manila political “elites” , are nothing more than backstabbing house negroes.
Steven thinks he is exempted from the colonial rule, but has to trade and earn the cost of his existence by using the empire standard! A faceless power with no responsibility or loyalty to any nation. Just look at how the “land of the free” has been sold out but wealth kept flowing to a few shmucks!
Going by that standard then 99.9% of the global population in under colonial rule, I don’t think pointing out that a country that has the crown for the most homeless people in any city in the world is some great betrayal, look on YouTube with all the poverty porn videos of the slums, read the comments, all of them talk about how wonderful it is, how great the flipinos are, please, they are the ones you should be criticizing
I was genuinely horrified at the conditions I saw in Manila and my harsh tone reflects that horror
yes. it is horrifying.
blocks upon blocks of slums and makeshift plywood and galvanized sheet houses.
and NOTHING is being done
except demolishing and reconcreting PERFECTLY GOOD ROADS
But look no further. You should be more horrified, genuinely, when the zombies in the streets of america start multiplying and getting right at you.
They will be harsh and give you no time to even reflect about anything.
naah, cant really compare the post- industrial world with , whatever THIS is..
what i mean is, you cant really compare post-industrial post-information america with pre-cambrian philippines.
What is the standard of a mighty colonizer/overlord anyway? The use of political weapon masked as religion? The promise of development that will actually be extraction systems? Take out leaders who refuse to kneel to oppressors? Do tell us what real conquest is about.
@Jango
I’m wondering if your comment is meant to have more than one meaning since it is obvious that there are no standard of a mighty colonizer/overlord.
As for the spanish conquest of the country it was about accumulating wealth/power.
They share the same trait. It’s not enough to take the goods. They keep their boots on people’s neck, keep the adults tied to a job while the kids are disbonded from their parents, caged and trained to be future slaves. I have always wondered why school had to be a whole day without enough practical learning outside the walls.
You might also want to see the motive in writing. Of course they will use “divine inspiration” but leave what’s not useful to them.

@Jango
Maybe you are right, but one alternative would be to live in a nonprogressive hunter/gatherer-like tribal society. How do you know that “school had to be a whole day without enough practical learning outside the walls”?
