Jillian Robredo’s encounter with an Igorot (reportedly) in Baguio City is a cautionary tale on elitist politics

The words “let me educate you” may not have explicitly been uttered by “vice presidential” daughter (and confirmed woman) Jillian Robredo. However they may as well have. Robredo can be seen strutting around the Baguio City Market surrounded by an enormous entourage the members of which snapped photos at every opportunity as she stopped and stooped to shake hands with whoever gave her a second look. The spectacle had elitist written all over it and it is an exhibit of a lesson the Yellowtard camp led by Robredo’s mother have yet to learn with just a couple of weeks left in the campaign.

Small surprise then that a local, reportedly an Igorot woman, heckled her. Word on the street is that she scolded Robredo and her entourage for blocking the way in the crowded market. Interestingly, the Philippines’ Big Corporate Media community which would normally jump at every story surrounding the Yellowtard campaign only had this to “report” more than 12 hours after the incident…

‘FOCUS TAYO’

After a heckling incident in Baguio City, Jillian Robredo, the youngest daughter of presidential bet VP Leni Robredo, remained focused and will continue doing house-to-house campaigning for her mother.

“Love you, bunso,” Dr. Tricia Robredo replied in her tweet.

The embattled Yellowtard campaign of leading Opposition candidate and “vice president” Leni Robredo had been largely unsuccessful at shedding its elitist skin over months of the campaign period of these elections. This most recent incident is yet another setback to their “cause”. A statement had since been reportedly issued by the Benguet chapter of the Robredo People’s Council.

What does Leni Robredo have to do to fix what is clearly a liability to her campaign efforts? Perhaps they could start with reevaluating the role the three daughters, Tricia, Aika, and Jillian play in this ill-fated endeavour. The sisters aren’t exactly paragons of populist appeal as they personally embody the very elitism that sticks to their mother’s campaign like a rash.

  1. LOL. So when bbm complains of not getting in a first class flight that is not elistist?

Shake my head. Benigno the clown strikes again.

What exactly did robredo do that’s out of the ordinary for politicians?

When bbm goes anywhere he is flanked by an army of bodyguards. Bbm does not shake hands? Does not go to campaigning.

Shake my head at Benigno the FOOL. The truth is the uni-turd team is panicking as robredo picks up momentum.

    1. Alright, how about if I disturb you while you’re resting in your house/ enjoying your family trip inside the mall/shopping or working in palengke and clogged the already crowded stalls about our Lord and Saviour, Leni Robredo and if you refuse the education about Leni, I’ll call you an idiot for not choosing Leni. How would you feel? Is it okay for strangers to just invade your privacy? Leni doesn’t have to do this house to house/mall to mall, someone will vote for her no matter what. Same to other candidates to be honest.

        1. Is that all? You might want to change your name, so you wouldn’t look like you’re trolling, buddy. Trashtalking won’t get you anywhere, smh.

  2. What about Archimedes trajano?

If you heckled anyone during martial law you would have been disappeared.

That’s is the scary future the paid hack benigno wants for the Philippines. All while sitting nice and tidy in Australia.

Too bad clowns like megget and aeta are too dumb to know they are being played

    1. Hark! The child, whose parents have allowed him to roam freely on the internet, is unloading his frustrations again on GRP—as he usually does on those forbidden sites.

      1. benigno,

Come to think of it, I do “detect a hint of language faculties amidst all the static,” but the level of maturity still wallows at the infantile stage. Perhaps a little more verbal whipping, directly and indirectly, will do the trick.

        Aeta

  3. Then what do they have to say on one of their volunteers’ remark na “may topak” the lady who’s shouting at them?

  4. The three daughters embody a rash.
    with some language faculties.

I didnt know one could just sit nice and tidy, even down under.

  5. Megget,

Yellow-Tardism has become an endemic in Philippine society within the last 3 decades when the Yellow-influenced government dumbed the population down by defunding the educational system through graft and corruption, privatizing public schools into elitist institutions, and brainwashing the now illiterate population into a cosmopolitan lifestyle of their favorite celebrities on ABS-CBN and GMA.

    Aeta

    1. “…dumbed the population down…”

And sadly we are seeing it all over the place, even online.

I really long for the growth of Philippine society as a whole but unfortunately the recovery will span multiple generations at this point.

      1. jbgyang,

The answer is simple and right in front of the Filipino people, if they would simply snap out of their media-brainwashed state to look for it. ABS-CBN, and other Yellowtard mainstream and social media networks, have been promoting aristocratism and individualism (a modern form of colonial and crab mentality) in their movies and television shows, through their celebrities leading enviable, cosmopolitan lifestyles for more than 3 decades.

These media strategy and tactics were designed to brainwash the population to become “serfs” and increase the number of OFWs, to pursue the same cosmopolitan lifestyle filled with shopping malls and condominiums, and to fuel other products and services controlled by Yellowtard “oligarchs” in their modern-day, feudalistic society (fiefdom) with OFWs’ remittance monies.

Thus, enamoring the aristocratic (“kahambugan”) and individualistic (“kanya-kanya”) cultural traits of the Filipino people, that pull themselves out of the basket as they push others down, and prevent the “unity” they badly needed to propel their society upward and forward.

        1. Who wants to keep the masses empowered?

No keep them dumb so they can keep the slavery alive for themselves…..

Power is always up for grabs to those who are strong enough to wield it

Every man is for himself in this wretched animal kingdom

This is a rat race and we are parasites who feed to survive and multiply with egos to flatter and legacies to leave behind…..

All’s fair in the battlefield for the survival of the species

          All the world’s a stage …..

        2. neodamaso,

Okay, Charles Darwin, we’ll keep your “Theory of Evolution” and “Survival of the Fittest” philosophies in the Philippines. Are you okay with that? Are the Filipino masses okay with your Darwinian approach, as their lives get buried deeper into oppression and desperation by the oligarchs?

  6. Where’s covid in all of these? After May 9 pa sya papasok? Nakabakasyon ba? All of this is starting to look like a bad joke.

  7. When the youth are more enamored with dancing and celebrity blogs and tiktok and online games instead of more worthwhile stuff like science and mathemarics and even carpentry welding fishing farming automechanics.

Filipino society is not a technology driven society.
We still use bancas for chrissakes, almost the same to the ones used when magellan first came to cebu and made everyone do the pit senyor dance challenge which WE STILL CELEBRATE TODAY LIKE A BUNCH OF CRAZED STUPID INDIOS.

Its a long way to go.

The first step is to get rid of the faggot vice ganda abs cbn noon time show culture and GET TO FUCKIN WORK LIKE THE REST OF THE WORLD DOES, NOSE ON THE FUCKIN GRINDSTONE.

    1. And please, lets get rid of all those lawyers in government, heading traffic management and waste management and forestry and what not.

Lawyers tackle a problem by talking and arguing and putting words on paper in a way that no one but lawyers can understand and decipher.

NOT THE RIGHT WAY TO GO.

We need solutions, lawyers only offer more questions and introduce only more doubt.

    2. Megget,

Let’s start by getting rid of Vice Ganda (including his immoral influence on the masses), and other Yellowtard celebrities, on ABS-CBN. This Yellowtard network has done nothing but brainwashed the population into an aristocrat mindset of individualism (instead of unity), to emulate the cosmopolitan lifestyle of their envied celebrities, and causing further disparities (dissensions and divisions) among various social classes in our society between the rich and poor, that the Yellowtard’s political and business dynasties have fostered.

      Aeta

    3. Megget,

“GET TO FUCKIN WORK LIKE THE REST OF THE WORLD DOES, NOSE ON THE FUCKIN GRINDSTONE.”

      I agree.

It will take the strong will of a non-Yellowtard administration (like Duterte and someone like him) to wake the masses up on the “telebasura” programs they watch on ABS-CBN, that brainwashed them into Yellowtardism, and bring them back to reality. If the population continues on the path they are on (aristocratism and individualism), they are going to lose all their rights to their own country to these Yellow political and business oligarchs.

      Aeta

    1. Megget,

A major part of Digong’s success as president is he’s his own man, the same way he was as mayor of Davao, and doesn’t concern himself with what his political enemies think, especially the country-destructive Yellowtards who’ve been trying to get rid of him for the past 6 years, so they can go back to fully raping the Philippines for themselves without anyone stopping them.

      1. Ok Diving is his own man alright…..

Keeping up with the delusions and flawed perception since it pays…..gotta fund the lifestyle and existence…..

        Nothing personal here OK

Who knows if you need regular commentator…..contributor or what not….. This is what pays big bucks so I have to drag myself…..

        I’m a sucker for one…..

I don’t support any party or liberal ideologies as you wisely put above…..

Like I’ve said…..nobody can’t win against malevolent forces of powerful elites and oligarchs…..not a common man anyway unless that commoner rally the citizenry for a one truly just and good cause…..

Don’t worry…..your bosses have lots of tricks up their sleeves to make sure the helm of power are within their grasps

      2. Every predator just wanted to keep the prey within reach to taunt and torture before going for the kill…..

        Just survive, eat and multiply

        Heroes belong to the past

Just keep the masses full and entertained to keep them sedated and satiated enough to be obedient subjects…..

This a race to the top and it’s a vicious cycle since the beginning of time

  8. You got me engaged so I’ll help out with the funds being added to your payment account….. whatever that is

Your reference to elites and oligarchy should include your overlord and everyone who pays for your hard work here…..

At the end of the day this is what you do best…..

Just don’t single out the Aquino’s et al as the elites among the bunch…..

They were all into it all along…..

Since the beginning of Philippine politics….. Ramon Magsaysay is the only President of the common man…..Filipinos don’t deserve a good leader hence they keep electing the same trapos and elites from different political dynasties…..

The Filipinos area masochists and mass hypnosis, paramount biases etc….. massive cognitive dissonance abound

These feudal lords wanted to keep the country in the dark ages of intellectual discord…..

We have advanced as civilizations but human nature of competition for resources and greed is innate in each one of us…..

    1. greedyhomosapien,

Your comment parallels all of the Yellowtard’s paradoxical articles and comments I have read on this site; the only thing missing is the citable sources from left-wing publications they copiously referenced to argue their tiresome liberalism towards oblivion without arriving at a bipartisan solution. So which part of your Yellow narratives did you pull the tags “overlords’ ‘ and “funding,” and “at the end of the day this is what you [I] do best” to throw in my face?

You’re absolutely right. I’m “single[ing] out the Aquino’s et al as the elites among the bunch…,” because the gross misappropriation of the country’s wealth, and drastic economic hardship of the people, began on their watch more than 3 decades ago (1986 to Present).

Now, the country is finally realizing that the “Heroes” of the EDSA Revolution they have elevated to power, who were supposed to lift the nation from the scourges of Martial Law, turned out to be the “Villains” who are fleecing them deeper into a state of modern-day feudalistic society (complete with “oligarchs” and “serfs”), by monopolizing the government and economy even more with their legal and illegal dealings.

You and I weren’t even alive during Ramon Magsaysay’s presidency; therefore, you can’t make an accurate description of how good (or bad) he was as president. If you say, “they were all into it all along…,” meaning all these politicians being out for themselves (Marcoses, Aquinos, and other presidents; including Magsaysay notwithstanding), then let’s stop comparing “apples and oranges” and make a mental review of the “tit for tat” of each president’s accomplishments (without going into a lengthy diatribe on this thread) instead, not what each side is accusing the others of.

I’ll even go as far as to entertain the Yellowtards’ political notion that the Marcoses were thieves that stole billions. Well, if those accusatory tags were true and the Marcoses stole, he was but 1 thief that stole for himself, perhaps even for a few “cronies,” and still left the bulk of the country’s wealth alone to build national infrastructures that served the population well.

You can’t say the same today, and in the last 36 years since the Yellow Party’s People’s Power took power. According to Forbes’ list of Philippine 10 billionaires in just the last decade, 10 are of Chinese descent, two are Spanish, and only 1 is Filipino (Manny Villar: a very corrupt politician), as well as countless wealthy oligarchs in government, business, and media sectors–including illegal sectors (drugs and other contrabands)–that the Yellow Party has fostered wantonly in the last 3 decades.

These Yellow-fostered political and business dynasties have stolen more, combined, in the last 36 years than what the Marcoses have allegedly stolen in their 20 years in power. Don’t reference the liberal media sources to validate your argument to protect the Yellow Party because you’ll never get the truth; I promise I won’t do the same.

Instead I challenge you to reference at the “grassroot” level and ask the politically oppressed and economically strapped population, and those who are still alive during Marcos’ presidency, of how their lives were back then compared to today. Then, and only then, will you and I be able to engage in an objective dialogue as to which candidate in the upcoming election is best suited to help the country and its people get back on their feet. Until then, we’re both just throwing dirt on each other to see which one will hit a sore spot first.

  12. barbaro,

Your Yellowtard propaganda makes as much sense as the sun rising from the west and setting in the east; while your half-assed, elitist attempt at the English language, “Sire,” and the rest of your bad grammar only reveals your poor logic behind what you write, and how little you know of the reality of life in the Philippines. Try writing in Tagalog or Tag-lish, next time, instead of trying to sound eloquent in articulating the English language. The readers might have an easier time understanding what you’re trying to say, Elitist Wannabe.

    Aeta

  13. What can I say

It’s only fitting for a barbaro
barbaric…..uncouth….. The horror of cringeworthy grammar right?

A wannabe can still try and fail miserably can’t he?
Can you say that I did my best there

Sorry though for I forgot that you are one genius grammar police…..

Sorry once again,if my massive grammar lapses, syntax and what not….. aren’t up to par and seemed to insult your intelligence…..
terrible words hit such huge nerve ehhh…..

We won’t see eye to eye on perspectives and views but care to enlighten me about being a liberal
    …..pray tell….what propaganda

I love to hear about that same tool that the Third Reich had used on his rise to power

I thought only the likes of Joseph Goebbels uses propaganda

I don’t spread my views all over the place so forgive my opposing views on things you deemed as propaganda

I’m merely stating my opinions and convictions
you seemingly love doing the same thing…..

My incomprehensible words may sound illogical

Nah it make no sense at all but what can you expect from a wannabe

    Bring on the massive critique…..

My ego doesn’t bruise that easily…..

    1. barbaro,

I never meant to bruise your huge ego, Elitist Wannabe; you give yourself too much credit. It would take a lot to bruise, or even deflate, an ego that has been bastardized with Yellowtardism over the years. It’s not worth the effort to even try.

However, I will call you, and your fellow Yellowtards, out on your tiresome effort to overwhelm your opponents with endless liberal narratives until they give up, citing everything under the sun, from Darwinian’s Survival of the Fittest to Joseph Goebell’s Third Reich, that you’ve pulled from your collection of Yellow propaganda, that have been half-baked into your logic by the Yellowtards’ media network and academic publications.

Everyone has already figured out the Yellowtards’ dubious tactics of creating confusion with their wanton propaganda, which they have perfected over the years by rewriting Philippine history and events to fit their liberal narratives. Basically, what you’re trying to pass off as an intellectual argument is nothing more than run-of-the-mill propaganda.

You bore me and the rest of the readers on GRP. Do yourself a favor and sell your propaganda to someone who has yet to be indoctrinated on the Yellowtard’s lies and deceits, like what you have been doing to win the media-brainwashed, dumb and ignorant (which are mostly your supporters) to your side.

      Aeta

  14. Aeta,

Why make assumptions about an opposing view

You label people as liberal just because he or she won’t share your convictions and passion to defend the Machiavellian ruler in the palace…..as well as the Marcoses

You even assume that greedyhomosapien didn’t have any idea how a Magsaysay government fared in the past…
    ..

You people here said it’s not about good and evil nor colors but the welfare of the country so why brought up the issues about yellowtards and Marcoses

The greed and opulence of one family just the inspired and paved the way for endless cycle of corruption and decay among Government officials of this God forsaken land…..the ones before them had their own fair share of corruption yes but it’s failed on comparison with the Marcoses…..

History may get revisions every now and then…..but the pages of history can’t hide the massive horrors, paramount atrocities and countless abuses…..
Truth is not a monopoly of one party…..or ideology

voting for an ideology is one thing voting for a family is something else…..why can’t the people vote for those who can truly serve them whose heart is in the right place…..the fanaticism is astounding…..
Putting faith in a person can be dangerous…..

We should vote for public service and progress….
.reforms that can empower the people to do better…..live better…..

The political landscape has changed and massive division further created a polarized society that can no longer discern truth from lies and propaganda……

You have such biases with colors and put such labels on political parties when clearly different ones can bring something good to the table and it may come with the bad as well…..

I respect your stand and pass

    1. berdugo,

You don’t have a problem with your grammar; instead, you have a problem with your logic.

Why am I making assumptions about opposing views? The answer is simple because those assumptions took more than 36 years (1986) to formulate themselves, and now I challenge the opposing views on why they want to keep in power the same political party, whose “Heroes” of the EDSA Revolution were supposed to lift the country from the ravages of Martial Law, and they turned out to be the “Villains” who raped the country and oppressed the people instead?

Again, I played along with the scenario that the Marcoses and Aquinos were all thieves and “Machiavellian.” Now, ask yourself if the people were happier when the Marcoses were the thieves in-charge, or the Aquinos and etal thieves in-charge today? You don’t have to answer that question. We will all know the answer on May 9 when the people takes to the poll.

That’s right. I don’t know, you don’t know, and neither does greedyhomosapien knows how Magsaysay fared off as president, since we weren’t alive then, other than what little was written about him when he was president. I maintain my stance on my assertion about Magsaysay, and anyone alive today who claims otherwise is being presumptuous.

Because “You People,” meaning us non-Yellowtards, are tired of 36 years of Yellow Party influence, that has done nothing to improve the lives of the population, except foster countless political and business oligarchs that continue to misappropriate the country’s wealth and oppress the people, is why it is time to change from Yellow to Red and hope for the best.

The “greed and opulence of one family…failed in comparison with the Marcoses.” Well, then, tell that to Henry Sy (SM Mall) who is worth more than $20 billion by the time he died in 2019, as well as other Yellowtard-fostered billionaires in the country today, and maybe you’ll convince me that the Marcoses stole more than all of these oligarchs’ combined net worth.

“The pages of history can’t hide the massive horrors, paramount atrocities and countless abuses…..” Again, tell that to whoever controls the media, Catholic Church, and academic institutions of how they’ve revised the pages of history to fit their Yellowtard narratives.

The late Jim Morrison (The Doors) said it best: “Whoever controls the media, controls the mind.” Therefore, the “ideology” and version of “truth” of the Filipino people are being monopolized by the Party who controls the media, as well as the other influential institutions (Catholic Church and Academic Institutions).

      I rest my case.

    2. berdugo,

  15. Aeta,

I have massive errors on my grammar there as well so feel free…..
    I stand corrected…..

My views are that this blog seemed to favor one party only and that’s partisan and bias already

Politics is a dirty game and no politician can dip his toe in the water untainted…..

Each politician has self interest first and foremost….. I’ve yet to see an ideal Public Servant…..
Each one comes with supporters and cronies alike…..

The question for the people should be what’s on it for each one of them?

No permanent friends or foes in politics

    Only permanent interest

Another thing,THE POWERFUL MAY NOT ALWAYS BE CORRUPT BUT THE CORRUPT ALWAYS RISE TO POWER

when everybody wants to rule the world

Those who hold power will fight bloody nail and tooth to hold on to it…..who wants to relinquish power?

You can ask the political dynasties of the land…..and all oligarchs themselves…..

The poor people are just being exploited, used as pawns and gets caught between the power struggles ……

The poor, helpless and powerless always lose

  16. Aeta,

I admire your stand against the oligarchy and the oppression that follows in its wake however your biases and prejudices also shows that it just stems from that very same biases against one party that you label in color to follow a populists perception

I admire your staunch belief and convictions however bias they may be because your entitled to your own perspectives, defend it and stand by it…..but to invalidate the truth in history because it doesn’t fit into the ideology or narratives that you stand for is unfathomable…..just because its didn’t happen to you personally doesn’t mean that it never happened to someone else…..

Truth is subjective and understanding for clarity and discernment towards tolerance should be objective sans biases…..

i understand where you’re coming from….you have such paramount beef with the other party…..you call them yellow tards…..your hate knows no bounds because you have empathy and compassion to the plight of your fellow pinoys maybe but to sputter such drivel about liberal propaganda to everyone who speaks about the truth in the dark past of our history is remarkably ignorant…..or enormously blind due to fanaticism and misplaced ideologies…..

the elites and oligarchs definitely wanted to stay in the top as the ruling class…..who wants to stay at the bottom of the pyramid and get exploited? certainly not one of us that’s for sure…..
the ugly truth is that people have been kept ignorant…..there’s the friars, the spanish elites, the americans etc…..they left our country to the dogs and it had been that way since…..election is a vicious cycle of oligarch and elite rule…..politics with its dirty system of cronies, corruption, plunder and fraud…..each one at the top have to get close to the coffers and keep something for themselves while the hapless populace gets thrown with scraps and leftovers if there;s anything left…..the pillage sounds like a clever plan…..the sense of entitlement is apalling but each politician has no qualms after all they worked hard to get that to the top so who can stand in their way?

i am not pro-ideology or party but i’ve yet to see a true leader who shall rise among us…..like what i’ve said each politician knows the game of politics and they have their own massive rethorics and varied narratives to win over the people over so we need to dig deeper and unmask their true colors…..some wear their hearts on their sleeves but some are clever to hide behind the glitters and gold…..i am voting for reforms and progress for each filipino lives…..
no colours or ideology but the ideals, character, vision, views and values that will inspire and lead each perosn to know and do better…..

respect can be a mutual thing however different our views may be…..

    1. indio,

We’re all biased, and we all prejudge, and it’s not about colors (red or yellow). Instead, this election is about the candidates (and their cohorts) and what they have done, promises they’ve failed to fulfill, in the last 3 decades since the end of Martial Law, that was supposed to be the darkest period in the country’s history, according to Yellowtard historians.

You don’t have to patronize me by telling me that you admire my “staunch belief and conviction.” Let’s just stick to reality and not the “truth,” especially the fabricated truth of your own Party that fills the media, the sermons in the Catholic Church, and your academic institutions that generously produced elitists like you to help spread their propaganda. If “truth is subjective,” then you’re entitled to your version of it and I’m entitled to mine.

Since all manners of “clarity and discernment towards tolerance should be sans biases…,” then we both can agree that what’s considered “truth,” is nonexistent, because it’s just going to be invalidated by either side.

Just me who has a “beef with the other party?” Come on, you can do better than that question. Yellowtards have been calling everyone that opposed them every name under the sun in their smear campaigns for the last 36 years, and you’re accusing me of being filled with “hate and lack the empathy and compassion for the plight of your [my] fellow Pinoy?” Give me a break, will you?

If you think “liberal propaganda” doesn’t exist in the media, the Catholic Church, and academic institutions, and the Yellowtards are not using it to spread and hold onto power, then someone in this diatribe is not being completely up front and honest.

At least you’ve revealed an ounce of “truth” (your version), and “reality” (my version) that we can both agree on: “ Elites and oligarchs definitely wanted to stay at the top as the ruling class…..who wants to stay at the bottom of the pyramid and get exploited? certainly not one of us, that’s for sure.” If that’s the case, then why bore the GRP readers with tiresome rhetoric to defend the Yellowtards, when you and I are no different in what we’re trying to achieve, other than the color we represent and the candidate(s) we want to win in this upcoming election?

Be that as it may, “that people have been kept ignorant” by “friars, the Spanish elites, the Americans,” and yadi yadi yada, then we can both agree that the Yellowtards have been employing the same tactics for the past 36 years with their Party controlled media, Catholic Church, and academic institutions, to quiet the oppositions with their liberal rhetoric.

You may not be a “pro-ideology or party” as you claimed, but I can sense your leniency towards the leftist movement more than for the oppositions who want to see change after 36 years of Yellowtard influence, and try to mask your underlying sentiments by going into a sweeping generalizations of how things were, still are, when it comes to power struggles throughout history.

Finally, respect is only mutual after the dust has settled, different views (ideologies) have been expressed and fought over, winners and losers have been determined, and the narrative propagandized (in history books and various media modes) by the victors, so everyone can be reprogrammed in the new version of the truth.

  17. Aeta,

why make the election about the colors?
the yellows and red…..I can see how paramount division is created….. even the flag has various colors not just 2 so how come …..yellow and red ???? why can’t people pick among the several vying for the position ? because you and the GRP people here don’t deem the other candidates worthy opponents of Marcos and Duterte?
that’s where the biases and partisanship come from…..

accusing media of the very same thing you do is a bit hyppocritical but hey wait…..the mainstream media and other sources can’t be trusted since they are liberal yellowtards controlled entities and what not…..books were controlled…..history were rewritten and revisions were made…..both camps dig dirts on each other and mudslinging is all over…..but the truth is buried in there somewhere…..what a sad state of affairs for this country…..no wonder we had gone to the dogs and we’ll surely stay there again…..theatrics and dramas…..as i’ve said…..it’s all about the power struggles and endless tug of war
I shall rest my case too because it’s just futile…..you have your own version of the truth and you want to shove that down the throats of other people

as far as I’m concerned…..the Marcoses, Dutertes, Aquinos et al are all oligarchs with political dynasties and wanted to leave legacies and secure their own family’s future….sue me for that but I also stand my ground…..

let the people decide at the polls indeed…..to the 9th…..

    1. Well said, but maybe not all GRP people. There are some people here who are neither Yellow or Red. I guess since it’s election day, this is kinda expected? Loud minorities from either side are coming out of the wood work.

    2. indio,

The Yellowtards have been vying for positions of power even when Marcos was president, employing everyone and everything within their power (mostly activists from the Communist and Socialist movements with “biases” and “partisanships” agendas, using widespread propaganda and illegal activities) to overthrow his government. Why do you think Marcos declared Martial Law? It wasn’t for the “little people” (the masses) who just wanted to have a peaceful life with all their basic needs met. Martial Law was declared in order to suppress the political and business oligarchs in power today, from creating dissensions and divisions in the country when they were activists during the Marcos administration.

I don’t see how you can make a claim that both “camps” are guilty of blatant “mud-slinging,” “burying the truth,” revising and rewriting history books to destroy the each other, when it was the media giant of ABS-CBN, founded by Eugenio “Geny” Moreno Lopez, Jr., an influential anti-Marcos activist, who tried to incite violent protests and riots before and during Martial Law, and was successful in spreading false propaganda of implicating the Marcoses in Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino’s assassination, without validation from the international community linking the Marcoses to this crime, that eventually fueled “People’s Power” and the “EDSA Revolution.

  18. Aeta,

    You’re really something

    According to you

This election is just about the candidates and their failed promises…..the yellowtards….. getting redemption for a family’s honor…..marcoses

Wow! The entitlement knows no bounds…..

Your one for theatrics and action….. it’s like you want a showdown between those two

Why don’t you give Lenlen and Junior a sword to just fight it out in the arena

Same with their oligarch cronies and supporters…..

Both can fight to the death

Some of us just wanted to elect a leader who can provide a better public service…..towards reforms and progress for everyone.

FYI…..there are still pragmatic pinoys who only want their lives to get better and live in peace

    What happened to the people
Public servant needs to fulfill duties and mandates…..

    Reforms and Progress?

Making the election a battlefield for two parties is terribly shameful…..

I think you’re getting paid to do a job of spreading hate and promote lies to advance your agendas otherwise you won’t reinforce such massive division and polarize the country even more…..

    Your apathy is appalling…..

Are you one of the cold blooded sociopaths who wants to bury people in the quick sand and let them suffer in agony…..

You people just couldn’t care less about other people…..

    Selfishness at its worst…..

    1. ita,

I’m really something, all right; and you can’t read between the lines of what I wrote, and didn’t bother to read my previous posts, Yellowtard.

My whole theme has always been about the “Little People” (the masses).

Commenter “Indio” just happened to engage me in a lenghty diatribe between the Marcoses and the Aquinos, and the other oligarchs that have been monopolizing the country and oppressing the people since the EDSA Revolution.

So, before you start running your “Elitist Wannabe,” Yellowtard notions online, like what many of your fellow Yellowtards have done in the past, read some background work on the people you’re trying to engage in another diatribe, figure out whose side they’re on, and who they’re batting for.

It’ll keep you from wasting your time and mine, and stop you from revealing your ignorance online.

      Aeta
