The ‘debate’ over a ‘revolutionary government’ is a complete waste of time

Back in 1986 following the EDSA “people power revolution”, Cory Aquino, who was crowned leader of this “revolution” by the Imperial Manila “activists” of the time, was installed as president of the Yellowtards’ “revolutionary government”. Legitimisation of Aquino’s government was easy, thanks to the Philippines’ being a predominantly starstruck “God-fearing” Roman Catholic society. All the late Jaime Cardinal Sin needed to do was wave his wand and Filipinos would bow en masse to their new leader — or at least Filipinos who were part of this Imperial Manila spectacle would.

In hindsight, this “revolution” was a missed opportunity for other large social and cultural blocs in the Philippiens also vying for autonomy or even independence from Manila’s grip over the archipelago. Had Filipinos not been so spellbound by Cardinal Sin’s star power and cognitively crippled by the manufactured disgust for the now-deposed Ferdinand Marcos taking up much of the space in their brains, they may have seized the opportunity to set up other revolutionary governments within their own lands.

Much could have been done while Imperial Manila was in turmoil in those crucial months after Cory Aquino seized power. Perhaps another “revolutionary government” could have been set up in Davao and hastened the establishment of the envisioned “second Singapore” over there. The Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) could have reached out to Kuala Lumpur to invite Malaysian troops into their own space and finally set true secession from the Infidel Government in Manila in motion. The “solid north” could have secured their territory and established Laoag or even Baguio City as the capital of a prosperous and infrastructure-rich Ilocandia Republic. The sizes of the prizes of these wasted opportunities boggle the mind. It illustrates the whole trouble with the sort of bipolar politics we see today and the way it stunts imagination and allows ripe opportunities to fall to the ground to rot (ironic for a people renowned for waiting for proverbial fruits to fall off trees).

30 years would pass before true clarity in hindsight would emerge from the mass cognitive paralysis that would grip the Philippines over that period thanks to effective Yellowtard propaganda backed by corporate media lackeys. A Federal Republic of the Philippines could have been a reality just several years after the “EDSA Revolution”. Instead, here it is today, still a pipe dream with this new but merely-quaint reboot of the idea of “revolutionary government” standing in the way.

True revolutionary governments are not engineered from the top by the characters who inhabit the Establishment. They are not voted into existence by legitimate legislative bodies nor ratified by institutionally-governed referenda. They will certainly not be outcomes of today’s limpdicked “activist” movements which are led by obsolete leaders who are better known for being Starbucks barnacles than the socio-political innovators that drive real change. Most important of all, real revolutionary governments are not won in pissing wars waged over Facebook and Twitter by cliques led by narcissistic “influencers” obsessed with their numbers of followers and engagement statistics.

Those involved in the “debate” over so-called “revolutionary governments” may as well just shut up. Revolutionary governments are not “debated”. They just happen. Cory Aquino and her merry band of Yellowtards seized power in 1987 right under the noses of bozos who also “debated” back then. That’s the real lesson here — one that took 30 years for people — including both former and current Yellowtards — to learn.

  1. Cory Aquino and her YellowTard Bozos, seized the government, with the aid of the U.S. /C.I.A. and the U.S. Dept. of State. The late Pres. Marcos Sr. , was too ill to fight. The political opportunists: Enrile, Ramos, and all shades of YellowTards, took the opportunity at that moment. The late Cardinal Sin, became the tool of the U.S. /C.I.A.

This type of U.S. assisted coup d’ etat was repeated in:Myanmar, Turkey, and Syria , recently. The U.S. aided coup d’ etats were not successful. Turkey, a NATO member did not fall. Pres. Erdogan is still in power. The Generals in Myanmar did not fall. So, the U.S. did a diplomatic maneuver, to make Aun Sung Shi, the President. She is just a political figurehead. She cannot stop the Rohingya attrocities, done by her Generals. The Muslim minorities are subjected to attrocities, and are fleeing to nearby Bangladesh. Pres. Bashar Al Ashad of Syria, has the backing of Russia and Iran. So, the U.S. and Saudi led coup d’ etat is a stalemate.

Thinking the Philippines, will disintegrate into another Yoguslavia, after the death of the late Pres. Tito, is a hypothetical statement. We have to study well the governments of : Germany, United States, Mexico, etc…before we can go to Federalism. We have to study the Parliamentary form of governments of various countries; before , we can establish our own.

Times have changed already. The Information Technology has made this Filipino generation, wiser and more informed. The Media is no longer the monopoly of the Feudal Oligarchs.

I still believe that changing the present form of government is the right move. Calling it: revolutionary, new society, new republic, new Philippines, etc. does not matter. It is the results that I am interested.

This Cory Aquino Constitution caters to the Feudal Oligarchs. They tailored the government and the Philippine Constitution, to fit for themselves. This Aquino Constitution must be Scraped and Thrown into the Dunghill. We have to have a new Constitution, that serves us all !

    1. It would have been better if we wanted Commonwealth-era 1935 or Marcos-style 1973 constitution without amendments back.

All we wanted was a new constitution with constitutional authoritarianism, national conservatism, without traces of oligarcy. That’s why.

      What Ngek Ngek once said.

  2. Perhaps only tangentially related to the article, but I can’t resist trolling HydenToro with CIA related nonsense. While wasting time on the internet, I found the CIA’s “Simple Sabotage Field Manual”, with these timeless gems highlighted:

Managers and Supervisors: To lower morale and production, be pleasant to inefficient workers; give them undeserved promotions. Discriminate against efficient workers; complain unjustly about their work.

Employees: Work slowly. Think of ways to increase the number of movements needed to do your job: use a light hammer instead of a heavy one; try to make a small wrench do instead of a big one.

Organizations and Conferences: When possible, refer all matters to committees, for “further study and consideration.” Attempt to make the committees as large and bureaucratic as possible. Hold conferences when there is more critical work to be done.

Telephone: At office, hotel and local telephone switchboards, delay putting calls through, give out wrong numbers, cut people off “accidentally,” or forget to disconnect them so that the line cannot be used again.

Transportation: Make train travel as inconvenient as possible for enemy personnel. Issue two tickets for the same seat on a train in order to set up an “interesting” argument.

Which makes me think that either

    (a) Filipinos are deliberately sabotaging their own country, for reasons best known only to themselves;
    (b) The CIA does actually run the Philippines.

    1. woohoo! I got -2 already!

So which is it, Pinoys? Are you all co-operating with the CIA, or are you sabotaging your country just for the fun of it?
