Who’s afraid of Leni Robredo?

Is there something to fear, when it comes to “Vice-president” Leni Robredo? The widow of Jesse, who can easily give off an impression na di makabasag pinggan? Veteran insufferable gossip, sorry, “investigative journalist”, Raissa Robles raises the question…

Who’s afraid of Leni Robredo? The Ka-DDS are out in full force bashing her for being in NY.

Have they forgotten that she holds NO POSITION in the Duterte government right now? That she’s just a spare tire?

Is she using government money to be in New York?

The Ka-DDS seem to be quite all shook up that she might meet with Loida Nicolas Lewis.

If she were not that important or influential, who would care whether or not she’s in New York?

Do you recall that Pres. Duterte himself and the Marcoses were all together in China when typhoon struck Ilocos Norte?

Did the Ka-DDS bash Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos, and former Senator (i like the sound of that) Bongbong Marcos for not being in Ilocos before and during the typhoon?

Naaah.

Special venom is reserved only for VP Leni Robredo?

Seems they are afraid of her.

NB: If I remember correctly, Ka-DDS refers to the Die-hard Duterte Supporters

Why be afraid of the VP, who is every bit concerned about “the threat of a return to Martial Law”…

The threat of a return to Martial Law and one-man-rule is the worst Christmas gift to the Filipino people.

To refer to specific provisions in the 1987 Constitution prohibiting such as a “reckless reaction” to the Marcos regime is an insult to the experience of the Filipino nation that endured great suffering and hardship under the Martial Law regime.

Moreover, for President Duterte to challenge the democratic safeguards of the very constitution he swore to uphold on June 30, 2016 is appalling.

Let us remain vigilant against the threat of Martial Law, and fight against any move that will curtail our freedoms.

This is not a battle we will take sitting down. As Filipinos, we have demonstrated our courage to stand up and make our voices heard for the sake of protecting our freedom and fighting for the truth.

The anti-Duterte, the Liberal Party (LP) supporters and Yellowtards (any remaining ones), were extra critical of non-allied officials “not being present, or caught flat-footed, during crisis situations in their bailiwicks” (e.g., Martin Romualdez during Yolanda, or Rodrigo Duterte in the aftermath of the Davao bombings), and yet their representatives are exempt from the very same criticism?

I call bullshit, of course.

At the very least, Robles is admitting that Leni “is just a spare tire.” The more accurate term for Robredo, however, to borrow a Chinese term, is a flower vase – decorative but essentially useless.

One can readily observe, from the way these two responded, that they apparently still don’t get what the hungry-for-change Filipinos are trying to convey.

It’s not Leni Robredo personally, that people are afraid of, it’s what she represents, all the extra baggage that comes with her.

For better or for worse, Filipinos have decided not to cast their lot anymore with an LP leader. It seems that if LP were the only alternative now to a potential abuse of power, Filipinos find the LP option less attractive.

Filipinos have decided that they no longer want the old ways – a return to the exclusive, ineffectual, old ways of running government like crap, exemplified by the Liberal Party.

They no longer want to go back to a time where they are resigned to facing a government that cares for them only during election time, a group of people that shows concern for them only when it is not in power.

Filipinos no longer want the sort of directionless, headless chicken leadership shown in the last thirty years. They no longer want to go back to a worthless type of government that makes them feel worthless.

In other words, Filipinos want things to be different. While “Not LP” is pretty much as bare as “NeverAgain”, it is the leadership taking charge that will make or break it. The LP has pretty much set an abysmal standard for that one.

Oh, and for the record, Raissa, you and many others overestimate the importance, and fear factor, of Leni Robredo. Dummies are good, after all, only when someone else is pulling the strings.

  1. Well, the so-called “Vice President” aptly named Maria Leonor “Leni” Santo Tomas Robredo doesn’t aspire to be “President”. That’s just like being a highly paid pawn. She’s a bitch, a vizier of the Liberal Party and Yellowtards. I’m always sure that there are people behind the scenes pulling the strings.

  2. Nobody is afraid of Leni Robredo…

People are irritated on her, because the Aquino Cojuangco political axis, made her win the Vice Presidency, thru the HOCUS PCOS and SMARTMAGIC.

This evil Aquino Cojuangco political axis, placed her in that Vice President position, as a “spare tire”, for them to return to power.

Defeating the will of the people is really irritating to people, who voted against Leni Robredo.

We are tired of politicians cheating in elections !

This plan to ouster of Pres. Duterte; began when, Leila de Lima, the Drug Dealer Nymphomaniac, and Trillanes, the Attack Dog of Aquino , initiated the Human Rights investigation in the Senate. This was a prelude in the ouster of Pres. Duterte…

Our country is swimming in Shabu Drug proliferation; and these idiots are concerned with Human Rights, to cover this serious problem.

Then, Leni Robredo , the Bobo, is in campaign mode to win the Presidency. Instead, of helping find solutions to our problems.

We are tired of too much politics, that is, nonsense politics. We are tired of incompetent people. We are tired of politicians ousting other politicians, to gain power !

We are not afraid ! We are just tired of these idiots and their nonsense !

  3. Haven’t they realized? They’re losing on all fronts. Why should people be afraid of somebody or some group who hasn’t proven anything worth supporting even when they’re given the chance? What’s in it for their lackeys in media? Oh, but of course. $$$PPP & too much bias that render their brains useless. Afraid of Leni?
We would actually like to challenge her and her associates. Somebody might come up with a list on this challenge.

  4. No one’s afraid of her. The only fearsome possibility around here is the chance for any remnants of the yellow cabal to grab hold of the reins and plunge the country into the same abysmal mess they left it. People who “hate both PNoy and Duterte” seem to be the most moronic of the bunch. Ok, by all means criticize Duterte to your heart’s content. Denounce him as the very embodiment of evil in this world. Who the hell do you think is using that as ammo to propel themselves into a good vantage point for a potential power-grab? So here’s the question: Assuming you get Duterte out of the way, are you okay with the alternative? And who the hell might that be? And don’t give me that bullshit that anyone’s good enough because Pinoys are essentially the same anyway. That the guy is actually showing signs he’s working is a lot better and better than his noynoying predecessor. Unless you can give an alternative that looks reasonable enough to our incumbent commander in chief then shut up.

    1. Cheating in election is not our pick…it is time to right the wrong, in our country…

We, the Filipino people are supreme ! Not these self serving politicians !

  5. It is not Robredo or Nicolas that the Filipino People should be afraid of. They are just puppets of the puppeteers, i.e., the global capitalists who would like this country be the guinea pig forever of deregulation, privatization, liberalization from the time of Cory whom they supported and who dumped Marcos because of his opposition to their sinister globalization.

The blunder of Marcos was to allow the loans from IMF/WB channeled Imelda’s projects who wanted to be the Catherine the Great of Southeast Asia instead of building factories to make the country industrialized.

Soros who owns Smartmatic have manipulated our elections placing politicians to positions make sure globalization the economic masterplan of this country.

  6. Leni Robredo is damned lazy, but when it comes to self-promotion, she’s relentless.

As soon as she arrived from her US vacation, she went straight to a PR photo op with fire victims in Quezon City, then flew off to Naga so she could be photographed riding a motorcycle to visit typhoon victims.

Her usual moronic motherhood statements got their usual unwarranted media coverage, but wait — has Robredo done anything CONCRETE to help the victims? Has she done anything of practical significance to deserve the media attention? No, of course not. All she did was pose for pictures with victims, giggle demurely for the cameras like a teen star, and criticize the DSWD for their “slow” action.

Never mind that the DSWD personnel were actually the ones who were there in Bicol, sacrificing their Christmas holidays to assist the typhoon victims, while the social-climbing Robredo was enjoying a luxury vacation with her patrons in the US, pretending to be concerned for the typhoon victims by tapping out a few tweets here and there.

We shouldn’t be surprised, because this woman is nothing but a useless plastic shell whom the oligarchs and the yellow media scrubbed, powdered, and blow-dried into their concept of “disente”.

The first time I saw Robredo’s picture on the cover of Town & Country magazine, the society bible of the oligarchs, I could almost hear the voices of Forbes Park matronas barking out orders to make dark, stocky Leni look thinner and whiter para hindi siya magmukhang katulong. The result? A heavily manipulated photo that looks like Robredo’s head was attached to Heart Evangelista’s body. Robredo’s face was reshaped and whitened, her upper arms were shaved down to half their real size, para magmukhang mas katanggap-tanggap sa mga elitista. Parang takot yata ang magazine na hindi bumenta kung ilalagay nila ang totoong itsura at katawan ni Leni.

That fake, photoshopped image, and all the lies and false promises that go with it, are what the oligarchs and the yellow media are desperately trying to sell to the Filipino people. They still assume that the masses are too dumb and too starstruck to see through the hoax.

But judging from the insults that rain down on every news item about Robredo online, the yellow scam is definitely not working. Pinoys are a lot smarter now. There’s just one thing that bothers me — when OFWs still refer to Robredo as “VP Leni” or “Ma’am Leni” even when they insult her. My dear countrymen and women, we don’t owe this social climber anything. Let go of your serf mentality. The way this woman has been famewhoring all over the place despite strong signs that she is a product of election fraud…the way she has wasted taxpayers’ money by doing nothing except pose for magazines…the way she insults the hard work of Cabinet members when she herself does absolutely NOTHING…the way she spends all her time trying to discredit our very hardworking President who has done so much for our country in such a short period…this woman deserves no respectable title, not even “ma’am”.

Our helpers at home call her “Lugaw Queen” and I feel proud whenever I hear them say that. You know why? Because it means they know they deserve better. It means they don’t consider Robredo higher than them. It means they are not intimidated by her LV bags, Ferragamo shoes, and manufactured image. They recognize sh*t when they see it, no matter how much makeup and jewelry it’s wearing. And they’re not going to take sh*t from anyone. For them, even “Mrs. Robredo” is too generous. “Aling Leni”, baka pwede pa. That’s empowerment.
