Cong. Egay Erice Allegedly Funded Electoral Case Vs. Grace Poe

If at all true, this may be an indication that Malacanang is tightening the screws on Senator Grace Poe and I could be right all along when I wrote a post that Senator Grace Poe was being made an offer she can’t refuse.

marangalOne of my regular sources for political rumors says that word has it that prominent Mar Roxas ally Cong. Egay Erice gave defeated senatorial candidate Rizalito David the P1 million needed to file a case before the Electoral Tribunal to unseat Senator Grace Poe on the basis of questions allegedly failing to meet the residency and citizenship requirements of her office.

My source claims that the tactical operation was dubbed “Atake Hila” or attack and pull-down. My source says that the objective of this maneuver is to attack and bring down Senator Poe’s popularity ratings if she doesn’t agree to be Roxas’ running mate.

“It’s like a date rapist slipping a roofie in girl’s drink. They’ll get her dizzy and have their way with her, or get her out of the way,” said my source.

Of course, the reason why I like my source so much is that he was the most interesting political conspiracy theories and a firm believer, despite the lack of evidence, that Jose Rizal is the father of Adolf Hitler.

He’s great to have around when you want to take your mind off things while drinking beer and as much as I want to, I don’t take him seriously all the time.

But here is the thing though, I remember that Erice’s name came up when the redundantly named United Nationalist Alliance accused Malacanang of masterminding Oplan Nognog.

Bautista said the third aim was to launch a “massive media offensive” against Binay in a bid to “destroy his image and reputation and lessen his chances of winning the presidency.”

He said the content of the operation was disclosed to UNA by unimpeachable sources who had information about it and who were sympathetic to Binay.

He said the helicopter was owned by a known associate and a financier of Roxas, billionaire Buddy Zamora, who is in the mining business. It is co-owned by Eric Gutierrez, who is a mining business partner of Caloocan Rep. Edgar Erice. Erice is an LP member known for speaking out against the Binays.

“Erice is in mining. His partner is Eric Gutierrez. Eric Gutierrez and Buddy Zamora are the owners of the chopper. They paid for this flight. Buddy Zamora is a financier of Mar Roxas,” Bautista said.

Of course, we can expect Erice and whoever else to deny this political rumor. I hope he does it convincingly for Roxas’ sake, because someone claiming to be MARANGAL (translated as HONORABLE) should have nothing to do with dirty thug tactics.

  1. This is How Roxas and Aquino do their politics. Politics of Destruction. Roxas cannot offer anything for the solution of problems in our country.

Roxas has a very Poor Record, as Secretary of Local Governments. He bungled the Typhoon Yolanda rescue efforts. Roxas is a Firm Supporter of the BBL Law. The law that gives a part of Mindanao to the MILF/ISIS/Al Queda. The law also finances the Terrorists , with our tax money.

Roxas also called the Mamapasano massacre a “misencounter”…he does not have any respect to the 44 Fallen Heroes, who gave their lives for us…

  2. Politics, n. A strife of interests masquerading as a contest of principles. The conduct of public affairs for private advantage.

Failippines politics, since time immemorial, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong. Politics determine who has the power, not who has the truth. The Failipino politician is a biped; but he is probably an aberrant form of hyena.

Failipino political aspirants make too much of the people before election, and, if successful, too much of themselves after it. They use the people when they want to rise, as we treat a spirited horse when we want to mount him;–for a time we pat the animal upon the neck, and speak him softly; but once in the saddle, then come the whip and spur.

Politics is not an end, but a means. It is not a product, but a process. It is the art of government. Like other values it has its counterfeits. So much emphasis has been placed upon the false that the significance of the true has been obscured and politics has come to convey the meaning of crafty and cunning selfishness, instead of candid and sincere service.

I never desire to know anything of the detail of political measures, lest even those which I think best should lose anything of their intrinsic value to me, by seeing what low, paltry, personal motives and base machinery and dirty hands have helped to bring them about.

  3. That’s what she get when she dilly dally for too long. That’s what she get when she squandered the chance of putting PNoy in his rightful place in the Mamasapano hearing. From that time that she tuck her tail in opposing PNoy, she implied that they can conspire with her.

  4. Lol to this pile of text. Isn’t it too obvious that the Binay camp started and continues to question Grace Poe’s citizenship and residency?
Which camp has been consistent in saying “foundlings are stateless?” Haven’t you checked the people surrounding David lately? Do more homework. 😉

  5. Our company, though small, is one of the best in the Philippines and it has an ISO 1400 for environment,” Erice explained. It is unfair to drag my business and cite cases that were already resolved.
