PNoy and Mar Roxas caught looking like fools on video again at SM North ‘Martilyo Gang’ heist

The Philippines’ dynamic duo, President Benigno Simeon “BS” Aquino III and Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Mar Roxas are at it again. This time the scene of the most recent “national crisis” is a heist allegedly perpetrated by the notorious “Martilyo Gang” at the SM North Mall Sunday night. According to SM Supermalls president Annie Garcia, “The police are on top of the situation and handling the matter.” Apparently, BS Aquino and Roxas did not receive that memo and reportedly thought otherwise…

The crime was alarming enough for President Benigno Aquino and Interior Secretary Mar Roxas to interrupt their Sunday evening to check on the crime investigation themselves, leading many to wonder what the national interest was.

The report also noted that “Later that evening, Interior Secretay Roxas told reporters that the robbers bought hammers and other implements inside the mall.” Evidently, the police really aren’t “on top of the situation” as first reported by Garcia on account of the way no less than the DILG secretary is issuing press statements to the media.

What exactly warrants the presence of not just a cabinet-level official but the Commander-in-Chief of the Philippines’ armed forces no less to be at the scene of a petty crime in which no casualties were reported? Apparently it was of special interest to President BS Aquino as “Aquino was seen interviewing security personnel.”

It’s a national head-scratcher trying to figure out what exactly constitutes a national crisis to the Philippines’ famously daft Chief Executive. Perhaps President BS Aquino and his sidekick Secretary Roxas are a bit behind on their Christmas shopping and thought Hey, there’s a petty crime scene investigation going on at SM. Let’s hit two birds with one stone and get a bid of media mileage while we pick up a few XBoxes for the kids…

What these bozos consider important is anyone’s guess.

Apparently, body count is not at the top of our action men’s list of criteria defining items of national importance. Just this morning a bus “fell off” an elevated highway in Bicutan, a suburb of Metro Manila reportedly resulting in “over 20 dead”. How exactly a bus simply “falls off” an elevated highway is anyone’s guess, but the transport company involved, Don Mariano Bus Lines, allegedly sports a very spotty safety record. Recall the same deadly consistency also boasted by Sulpicio Lines which, under its management, saw tens of thousands of Filipino lives lost over decades of passenger shipping.

No sign of DILG Secretary Mar Roxas: 20 dead in the aftermath of a deadly bus mishap the following day

You wonder, then, whether Filipinos are smart enough to expect the right stuff from their leaders. Are they electing them to be media whores? Or are they electing them to implemement long-term solutions to the renowned social dysfunction that is dyed into the very fibres that make up the very fabric of their society?

That Filipino politicians can routinely get away with blatantly engaging in media facetime grabbing while scores of hideously fatal recurring issues begging the most obvious solutions remain at the bottom of politicians’ To-Do Lists reflects the character of this chronically financially- and intellectually-impoverished society.

Perhaps it is true: Filipinos deserve their politicians.

The power to prove that statement false is in the hands of every Filipino voter.

Let us pause for a moment to enjoin in sympathizing with those who lost a loved one in the tragic bus mishap today at the skyway in slex. This is one of many times that vehicles have “flown” out of the second level road into the ground level.

Perhaps it’s time the government started taking drastic measures to ensure public commuter’s safety to prevent further tragedies. But I think that would be an oxymoron because the Philippine government is this country’s greatest tragedy, afterall. No pun intended.

I think I would be more surprised, shocked even, if Dumb and Dumber did the right thing by the people.

I’d like to say it’s the Skyway management’s (privately owned by SanMiguel Corp.) fault on the mishap but apparently… it rained early morning, and there was a new layer of asphalt laid days ago, so hydroplaning isn’t out of the question. Morning rush hour traffic going southbound skyway is almost always a breeze, thereby the chances of an accident is quite high. To skyway’s only credit there is a huge-ass LED signage stating that the speed limit for all vehicles are consistently shown…and not much else. Even on sundays some sportscars are racing away above the speed limit and the… Read more »

That bus accident can be traced down to the LTO issuing licenses to people who cannot drive. Hey….LTO was under Roxas…. could have been his chance to save some lives for a change.

I’d like to add that the bus also crossed the bridge over bicutan interchange, so figuratively and literally, it was all downhill from there 🙁

the question(s) asked under the pic of the catastrophe, need not be asked as the answers do not matter.

Yawn, the treasury still needs a guardian. but can anyone imagine a poilitician in the country not stealing? The statement about certain things being ingrained into every fiber of ‘their societies’ is true: Politicians are thieves in the country, and most others, life is cheap in the Philippines! and both of these facts aren’t changing: even if people waste their time voting.

Aquino and Roxas doing their lone ranger routine clown act again.

It was them they showed up at the Serendra blast, and if I remember it correctly it was the contractor(Ayala)’s liability why the gas blast happened. So what happened?

Also the martilyo gang..WTF?

It seemed that the duo hacienderos are also overpriced security guards too.

Para sa inyong lahat na walang magawa kundi bumatikos!
Saan ba lalagay sa inyo ang mga leader ng ating bansa? Wala kayong alam kundi mambatikos! You pause for a while and ask yourself….ano ang nagagawa nyo para sa kapwa nyo…para sa bansa nyo? Instead na iukol nyo ang oras nyo sa pagpuna sa iba…kumilos kayo at tumulong, hindi puro puna at batikos. Ikaw ang isa sa mga dahilan kung bakit hindi umaasenso ang bansa mo!

I have been working since I graduated and I have also put up a business. I have been paying taxes – taxes which the government automatically gets from my salary and which the BIR gets from my business. Now, please tell me I haven’t done my part to help the country. With everything that is happening, I believe that I have the right and the moral obligation to say what is wrong and I am not happy with what PNoy and his minions are doing. I did not elect PNoy since he has no achievements to speak of. However, I… Read more »

Guys I know that some of you don’t like CoRRECT anymore but still this article is so relevant on what not just how those two assclowns treated on that oligarch mafia but also what they did during the aftermath of typhoon Yolanda’s havoc in Tacloban: http://correctphilippines.org/philippines_mafia/

@Benign0 I think it is quite unfair to blame entirely on the not so smart voters why we have this kind of government. HocusPCOS is major contributor. COMOLECT is another one. Although vote buying is part of the problem. What I am seeing is the Yellow Media trying to condition the mind of the Filipinos that it is the voter’s fault why we have this kind of leaders in order to take away the heat from the real culprit which are the HocusPCOS and the COMOLECT. Who are controlling this two? Your guess is as good as mine.

Mr. Aquino and Mr. Roxas may had thought, that the Bandits armed with hammers (martilyo), are threat to National Security. While a former Policeman armed with M16 Armalite Rifle was not. So, both men went to cower, inside their holes to hide. Because the perpetrator can shot back. We have two men in top positions; who cannot figure out: what consist of a threat to National Security. I don’t know, if I would laugh or cry. I would like to strangle both of these two idiots. They pander for media attentions. However, they cannot help, but make fools of themselves.… Read more »

Some idiots also want to implement restrictions on buying hammers. Wahahaha! That just takes the cake. Anyone got a better word than “stupid” or “idiots”?
Why not just require jewelry shops to use plexiglass on their displays (idiots!)? You can hammer away all day, and you won’t even create a scratch.

“Stupid is as stupid does” Forrest Gump Pnoy aquino and mar roxas, alias dumb and dumber, or bum and bummer, since they seem to be joined at the arse these days, are turning the country into a farce, or an xmas pantomime. (There’s certainly no lack of ugly sisters to choose from in the aquino circle of kkk) We all knew about aquino’s lack of intellect from the outset, but increasingly he displays not one iota of common sense, in addition to no statesmanship, no empathy, no strategic understanding, and certainly no results, simply constantly whining like a little girl,… Read more »
