Obama got Osama

My grandmother always told me to take it easy on too much unnecessary celebrations. She said that misery always follows excessive feelings of euphoria – kind of like the down after being on a high. I found out exactly what she was talking about when I got my first hangover. Her advise is behind the reason why I am a bit wary about the excessive celebrations a lot of Americans are throwing at the moment following the official announcement that Osama Bin Laden is dead.

If you stop to think about it, since Bin Laden had been in hiding for the last decade, it was like he was already dead. As the most wanted man in the world, he would never have shown up randomly at your local supermarket anyway. And then there had always been this rumor going around for years that he had already been killed during the initial invasion of Afghanistan in 2001.

It is therefore really pointless at this point to wonder, “When did Osama die?” because it does not actually make a difference whether he is dead or alive. There are enough misguided Muslim radicals ready to take his place.

Now that he is really dead – that is according to the US government – some people are saying that he is more powerful now the way Obi Wan Kenobi became even more powerful after Darth Vader struck him down in Episode IV of Star Wars. This sort of thinking is evident in how the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) considers the former Al Queda leader, a “martyr.” And the irony here is that in the aftermath of his death, the world is on an even more heightened travel alert against terrorist attacks. The Philippines, for its part, hosts one of the main training grounds of the militant group in the Far East. So the Armed Forces of the Philippines is now anticipating retaliatory attacks from local terrorist groups. Here’s what AFP spokesman, Commodore Miguel Jose Rodriguez had to say:

“There is always a possibility [of retaliatory action from radical Islamists] kaya pinaghahandaaan natin ito. We are always prepared for that,” he said. “But we are sure na hindi nila kakayanin kasi nakahanda ang inyong pwersa sa bagay na ito.”

“Our expectations (for retaliatory attacks) will always be there, that is why part of the security plan of the Armed Force is to always be vigilant. You know in terrorism, you will never know when you will get hit,” he added.

Unfortunately, the rumors surrounding Osama’s death will most likely never die down. It is going to be another “Elvis is not dead” kind of thing. It does not help that there was no public “viewing” of his remains because as Muslim custom dictates, he needed to be buried within 24 hours of his demise. A public viewing would have brought some kind of closure. And US authorities made it harder for Osama “fans” to visit his grave by burying him under the sea, merman style. Now there is no way a yearly pilgrimage to his burial site can be organized.

A decade since the World Trade Center Twin Towers in New York were brought down, some people’s sentiments have shifted towards the Muslim radical’s cause. It doesn’t help that the US presence in both Afghanistan and Iraq is still very strong. Their position, understandably, is that the “War on Terror” is still not finished. Even then, to those who are fond of spreading conspiracy theories that the US Government was actually behind the attack that destroyed the Twin Towers and killed close to 5,000 people, I say c’mon, what American in his or her right mind would kill fellow Americans just to justify waging a war against another country to revitalize the economy? I’m inclined to think that those who think this way have thought about doing the same thing, sort of like it takes one to know one kind of mentality.

But the biggest winner of all is President Barrack Obama. He is “the man” who caught the biggest fish. I guess some could say that his reelection is in the bag. This is Obama’s rebuttal to Donald Trump who keeps taunting him about his birthplace.

This is just the kind of thing that Americans need nowadays. Their economy has been depressed for quite some time now. China just took 2nd place in the hall of world dominance. Australia’s dollar keeps rising. England just had the royal wedding of the decade. Americans needed a major win…something that can help cheer them up. Billions of dollars (and counting) later, the US government has to give the people the type of Hollywood ending they are accustomed to.

Something tells me though that the news of Osama’s death can only harbor more ill feelings towards Americans from people who don’t really believe that Osama is guilty of instructing his followers to fly airplanes into the Twin Towers and the Pentagon on the 11th of September 2001. Some people believe that Osama was just sitting in a house in suburban Islamabad watching the cricket. The same people probably believe that the British royal family ordered the late Princess Diana’s death or that Elvis is still alive.

  1. Osama-dead or not will not change what has happened. I don’t see any justice eventhough he has been killed already.
Life goes on…if this will trigger more terrorism around the world esp in USA then they just have to be prepared.

  2. Do you know or have you watched the documentary film “ZEITGEIST,the movie”? In that movie they show compelling evidence in the conspiracy of the government of US on the 11th of September 2001 terrorist attack. Please watched the movie

    here is the link:

      1. It was an inside job. The destruction of World Trade Center Twin Towers was like a controlled demolition. The way the structure collapsed was something that was planned and the documentary film reveals it. I hope you have time to watch.

        1. I watched your video but it failed to convince me that it was an inside job. It’s not that easy to organise that kind of chaos.

Plus there was a video of Muslims in the Middle East celebrating after the fall of the Twin Towers and not to mention bin Laden’s admission that he was the mastermind behind 9/11. You just can’t fake those.

  3. While I respect your opinion and admit that I’m an avid reader of your posts and those of the GetReal guys, I just have to clarify to you that in Muslims’ belief, a Muslim killed by a non-Muslim in a zone of war is considered a ‘Martyr’, but whether God sees the same is a different matter.

No Muslim, not even the MILF, would condone the crimes he had committed if he had really did so or order it be done against ‘innocent’ people, but the guy is still a Muslim, and I would expect you not to limit our choice if we still ask God to have mercy on him for the sins he had committed.

    1. Hi Jih

Thanks for that bit of information. One of the perks of blogging is the additional knowledge or input I get from our readers. 😉

I am actually of the belief that in death, we are all equal. Whether we die a natural death or during a gunfight, we still deserve some respect. Life is just like a sport to me. After the game is over, we should be able to shake hands with our opponent.

I mean no disrespect to your religion or to your beliefs. I merely write what I observe in this particular situation. I am open to other people’s point of view. I actually welcome it.

Respect for other people’s beliefs is really the key to a harmonious existence, which is why I implied in my article that I do not agree with the excessive celebration in some parts of the world after Osama’s death. After all, he was still someone’s husband, father, bother and a friend.

New York Islamists: Congratulations to Sheikh Osama bin Laden on His Martyrdom!

  4. If only America became the bigger man in this story then maybe a hope for this war to end sooner can be seen. Is it too much to turn over Bin Laden’s body to the Saudi govt and afford him the proper Islamic burial, just so some extremists will see the benevolence that the U.S. claims? Islamic burial traditions do not mark graves, is Bin Laden more significant to a nation than the past Kings of the kingdom that his grave be given relevance? If the U.S. truly considers Saudi Arabia an ally and is sincere in promoting peace then why was this not considered an option?

    1. Hi Mike

That is a valid point. I think whether his grave becomes a shrine or not is not really important to their cause. Misguided individuals will still do what they want to do regardless of his burial site.

  5. May also add that there are many ways of death by which a person is considered a ‘martyr’, person who drowns, a person who dies defending his properties, a person who dies in an earthquake, all those are considered as such.

So please, just because Muslims consider Bin Laden as a martyr does not mean they condone or sympathize with his acts.

    1. So please, just because Muslims consider Bin Laden as a martyr does not mean they condone or sympathize with his acts.

May I also say that it will not be easy for others who lost their loved ones in 9/11 to see it that way. I think they would assume that having seen videos of Osama admitting to masterminding the terror attacks on US soil, people, including Muslim moderates would automatically condemn him. But that is just a thought coming from an observer. I am open for more interpretation.

      1. No doubt Muslims did condemn him, and I didn’t say otherwise, but that should be looked upon separately from considering him a martyr by Muslims.

Though of course, I would understand non-Muslims who might think that because we consider him, perhaps, a martyr, that we condone his acts, which Muslims would never do.

        1. Though of course, I would understand non-Muslims who might think that because we consider him, perhaps, a martyr, that we condone his acts, which Muslims would never do.

That is good to know Jih.

  6. I still stand by my belief that the 9/11 event was an inside job.

May the souls of the innocent Iraqis haunt them Americans. Weapons of mass destruction? Where the fuck are they?

    1. You can’t find them. But there is another reason why it happened: to oust Saddam. The mass graves are a proof of it.

  7. Something tells me though that the news of Osama’s death can only harbor more ill feelings towards Americans from people who don’t really believe that Osama is guilty of instructing his followers to fly airplanes into the Twin Towers and the Pentagon on the 11th of September 2001.

The same people probably believe that the British royal family ordered the late Princess Diana’s death or that Elvis is still alive.

As expected, the Twoof Brigades have marched into the comment fields.

Honestly, the tragedy of 9/11 was exploited to lead to Bush’s wars, the “extraordinary rendition,” waterboarding, etc. That didn’t make Osama any less guilty of what he had his organization do (since the Clinton era, I might add), though it doesn’t help that 8 of the 10 years of the chase were led by an administration more hellbent on finishing its leader’s daddy’s mission.

And it certainly won’t please the current Republicans, who haven’t been happy with anything Barack Obama’s done even if it happens to be actually focusing on their Republican president’s hunt.

    1. We pretty much have the same observation Frank. But as Donald Rumsfeld once said:

There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don’t know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don’t know we don’t know.

    2. Actually, Frank. Dick Cheyney commended Obama’s staff on the result. I was shocked to see that kind of character from the man. As have all Republicans that I know of. And that clown Trump looks very wee small at this point. Now about that jobless rate, which we know Obama brought on when he had the audacity to save the world from its free form Bushie crash . . .

  8. I like how the American Intelligence operate. They make use of the Muslim or Islamic holy book to manipulate the faithful soldiers of their Muslim and Islamic religion in disreputing their own religion to the world. They should target the vatican too because they have more money there than the whole GDP of all muslim and islamic countries. Not only will this solve future wars, but also help the humans evolve further into the universe. Heil America!

    1. Yes, we are indeed out to squash and rob you incapables . . . That is our main goal in life, and why so many Americans are buried in France and Italy and Germany and . . . oh yes, the Philippines . . .

    2. It is the Muslim Radical Jihadists, who attacked America…thinking that; if they attack America…financial collasp will start in the world…
America fought many wars…and they learn fom every war…to innovate and to produce better: strategies, equipment and fighting men…Those Jihadists who are in delusion to have a World Caliphate, got what they are looking for…
The killing of Usama Bin Laden is the Turning Point on the War on Terror. A treasure throve of intelligence materials and documents were captured by the U.S. Navy Seals in the Bin laden residence…Al Queda is now finished…

      1. The Al Queda BlogSite Network has already announced that Usama Bin Laden was killed by U.S. Navy SEALS, Team 6…His five wives are now under Pakistani cusrody…His captured documents showed: he is planning; train and rails attacks, in New York; Chicago and Washington…The Al Queda Network is on the run…Many computers, computer discs, computer CD records are captured…they are now being examined and evaluated by U.S./C.I.A. This is a gross embarassment of Pakistan.
A Terrorist residing under your nose…it’s no wonder you cannot find him…or are they really trying?

      2. @Toro

Can’t find? That’s because he was never there. They use the “Mission” as a boost for Obama’s ratings and they used Pakistan as a “Straw-man” to take the blame for the not seeing of Bin Laden in the area so people would know that Pakistan is incompetent.

Why would “Bin Laden”(If he were true) put up a house at the middle of the freaking city full of military bases? And if he were there, why did none of his supporters came to visit him or even saw him in the area? It’s really odd.

        Here’s the link:

        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lW7OywJlT8o&feature=player_embedded

This video showed that a neighbor never saw him, that’s because he is DEAD 9 years ago.

FYI the Al-Qaeda was run by the CIA and they run that blog site you’re reading so whatever that site says is a hoax.

  9. I’ve been going through the net and analyzing these incidents that happened, these are the questions that is really bothering me:

    1. Why did America killed Osama Bin Laden?

I mean think about it, in the rules of war, the best way to defeat your enemies is to learn from them. Why would you kill Bin Landen when you can take him alive and learn from him so we can know in advance how terrorists move? If Bin Laden really is the mastermind on the 9/11 attack then he must be one smart guy, learning from him can save millions of lives.

    2. Why did America spent more than a trillion dollars to kill one guy?

As I’ve been looking on the money spent to kill him, though the information in the net is a little fuzzy, it sums up to more than a trillion dollars. Why spend so many? One guy? They could created a super weapon with that kind of cash or even a whole army to take over, I don’t know, a continent or something.

Now there has been rumors that Bin Laden was murdered in youtube. There was a video by a middle eastern woman stating that the US forces murdered him. I don’t know about that rumor but it seems probable that America knew Bin Laden has valuable information that can expose America on the 9/11 attacks. Killing Bin Laden only strengthens the fact that conspiracy theorists were right all along.

I was thinking that if they were really after terrorism, why send so many troops abroad? Why so many soldiers, tanks and armored vehicles? Why did they even occupy 90% of Afghanistan by setting up bases? The 9/11 incident and the oil in the middle east seems to be connected that Americans used the 2001 incident as a reason to go to the middle east but there real intention is oil. It has always been the money and power.

    3. Why so desperate to kill Gaddafi?

I know Gaddafi is not the topic here but it seems that America helped the Libyans so they could find a reason to kill Gaddafi. For what? I was thinking its oil again. We knew the news a while back that Gaddafi’s son and three grand children died during the bombing. The Americans said it was an accident but if I analyze it carefully, they really are intending to kill Gaddafi.

Think about it. They have the most sophisticated weapons in the world and they made a freaking mistake?! That’s total bull if you ask me. Only an idiot believes that. It’s pretty obvious these guys are killing Gaddafi for oil. Of all the problems in the world why would they help the Libyans anyway? Why provide them with firepower?

All of these questions points to one thing only and that’s oil. When someone controls the oil fields, they control the world. It’s power to these guys. More power. Now they use “Black Propaganda” to cover up there actions by stating it as “Justice”? What the hell is that?

More oil means more money and more money means more power. The theme “Conquering the world” is now different today. Now, they are doing it with stealth and technology. Analyzing US capacity on stealth will actually conclude that these guys are conquering the world by stealth. I have never seen so much stealth technology weapons other than the US.

    1. Edward, the answers to questions 1, 2 and 3: Justice. All the rest you conjure up in your imagination is fiction.

The US is not conquering the world. China is. The Philippines is not, I might add. So you can be proud of that humble notion. No money. No power. These things are bad in your eyes, right?

      1. Killing=Justice? That’s the wrong message. Where’s the justice in that?

They caught Saddam before but did not kill him but brought him to justice. Now that’s fair. This is madness already.

      2. Hmmm…I don’t know but Edward might have a point there. China is conquering the world, yes, but only in money which only leads to more reason to go to the middle east by the US.

That could also be the reason why the US want the middle east so they could outrun China.

      3. I agree its justice.

Justice for the evolution of humans through globalization by which justice of democrazy can achieve. Dictators oppose democrazy. They are a bunch of crackheads who fear diplomatic negotiations because they know they are mentally weak compare to leaders of democrazy. Dictators shall be exterminated, thereby, democrazy can systemize and tolerate formal negotiations and communication for global understanding and future of humanity.

America must target the system of churches next especially of Christianity and of Roman Catholic. People in these churches are a wretch to humanity with their dictatorial and unquestionable faith system. Such systems instill unreal and unproductive means to humanity, thus, corrupting our future itself and possibly become extinct. By getting rid of these pretentious human rulers, a system of negotiation can form and allow full access of communications for globalization and future understanding.

      4. Justice? You go half way across the world and burn a lot of freaking money for Justice?! I didn’t even knew US do charity these days.

It’s common sense. They march all their army their because they want something much more.

        Justice is only their propaganda.

I mean what idiot would march half way across the world and expect nothing back in return?

      5. How is it Justice? Getting rid of human rights abuser dictators by force and replace them by a democratic system, which the world honors as the best form of government.

What is the product of putting a democratic system? US can apply their superior intelligence to negotiate and bargain their nation’s interest more money from the stupid countries.

Why should US attack all dictators?
It is without a doubt justice while its by-product being a democratic system that the US can intellectually regulate and bargain to their favor valued sources, usually for profit, from those countries, therefore, a win – win situation for the newly systemized country, US, and the world.

How does this reason relate to Osama Bin Laden? They know that Bin Laden will rebel as he lost profits of his own with his ties with those dictators. By keeping Bin Laden alive and with him rebeling by terrorism, US can further manipulate the new, fearful, confused, unorganized democratic system to serve their interest.

Why did Bin Laden die? He ran out of money to provide more terrorism, so he became useless as far as continuing the chaos.

      6. Hmm… Let me see? What would his death bring to me? Nothing. If he kills my family, it’s already gone. Why would I want to chase him? What could I exactly want from him that would bring those people back?

FYI I already lost a sister in the past. She was 20 when she died. It hurts, yes, but I never thought of revenge or hate. Why would I? To make myself feel good? At first I would feel it, but then again I cannot gain anything from it except more hate.

I cannot bring my sister back by killing the killer but I want him to go to jail so I can see him suffer for the rest of his life and pay for his crimes. Death is too easy.

There is no justice in killing but more killing. If I choose to kill, I’m no better than the killer. I’d be just like him, also a killer. I won’t go down to his level, I’m better than him.

If I see him killed by the police, what would that do to me? I want him looking at me as a reminder for what he has done in the past.

        1. Killing Bin Laden was supposed to serve as a deterrent against more attacks from the radicals. It remains to be seen if it’ll work. So far, the move seems to be riling up the fanatics.

      7. Edward, you have an admirable ability to rationalize anger and hurt away. Biblical, I suppose, turning the other cheek. I think differently, as some vermin are not worth an iota of compassion. And in this case, there is the practical matter of how do you prevent bin Laden from becoming a martyr for the wild-eyed crazies. I have no idea of the situation in the ground, the orders given, or why he was shot instead of taken alive. And I will spend about zero time second guessing it.

      8. @Ilda

It’s the US plan. They faked the death of Bin Laden so they could cut back the funds at Pakistan and boost Obama’s rating.

Truth is Bin Laden is dead 9 years ago. He died of lung complications. He is a CIA asset and the Al-Qaeda is an enemy created by the CIA.

His real name is “Tim Osman” you should google that name and you’ll know what I’m talking about. This 9/11 attack was a hoax for a long time. Edward was right all along.

        1. @Ron

It’s hard to tell these days which information is credible. I guess the US has indirectly created a lot of enemies and annoyed a lot more people with their decision to invade Iraq, which is why there are so many claims that it was an inside job.

      9. @Ilda

Just say the word and I’ll even give you a link with an interview with a man more credible than all the articles you’ve just read. And I wish you spread the link I will give you.

He met Osama Bin Laden thrice and even work with him during his missions and he will prove that America is making us idiots. He will prove that the “war on terror” is a one big hoax.

I’m tired of people calling Filipinos idiots, I’m not. They may fool the world but not me.

    2. very well said. I agree with you. 9/11 was there excuse to fully execute their plan to invade Afghanistan.

      1. for all your questions,a documentary film by the Zeitgeist Movement tittled “Zeitgeist: Addendum” has answers. here is a link you can watch the film

    3. @Edward

Based on the report from the mainstream media, Osama tried to fight back. He didn’t want to surrender. That’s how they justified using force.

All I can say is, going to war must have looked like a good idea to them back then. Things have a tendency to come back and bite people anyway. Obviously their economy is suffering now thanks to a lot of bad decisions in the past decade or two. Hopefully they will learn from this.

      1. Yeah I saw it too. It’s all bull to me. If I think about it, US Special Forces or Green Beret are masters of stealth. Bin Laden was in a Villa with no technology that means no detectors or cameras of any kind. Killing him with stealth is so easy. Bin Laden is not a trained Special Force or a Navy SEAL to even detect a incoming stealth force, that’s also the reason why the US send the Special Force because of their stealth capabilities.

It’s pretty obvious these guys are hiding something. Assassination or not it will be revealed in the near future anyway.

      2. Usama Bin Laden, was not armed…during the fight…however, one of the wives, attacked one of the Navy SEALS…she was shot on the leg…she survived…there were 26 people in the compound: children, men, women…the compound is an 18-feet walled , with barb-wire on top…people there dont’ have telephones, internets, or other communication devices…they burned, their own garbage…this from the Official briefing from the U.S. White House…Usami Bin Laden was shot, just below the left eye, and on the chest…they were both fatal…Maybe, he is now enjoying his 72 virgins in Paradise!!!

      3. Let me add a different perspective, maybe U.S. considered the possible dangers of keeping Osama Bin Laden alive.

For an instance: by keeping Bin Laden as a prisoner, remaining Al-Qaeda terrorist might stage some massive scale attacks to aid him.

On a different note, it’s my first time posting here. *Cheers*

      4. @Kabayongtao

That’s there alibi. There was no body to give to the public because he was dead 9 years ago from Marfan’s Syndrome.

The one they killed wasn’t even Bin Laden, it’s a fake photo that they manipulated in the computer using Photoshop.

The mission they gave was a staged act to show the public some proof and to boost Obama’s ratings.

Did they show us any body? Nope, then it’s fake. No body, no hard proof. Again, that’s because Bin Laden was dead long ago.

      5. @Ron: I merely gave a perspective with a specific basis, but it doesn’t mean it is what I consider as a fact.

Because that’s the only thing normal people like us can do.

As for Bin Laden dying 9 years ago, maybe. – it’s quite possible but surely we can’t say it with full confidence.

On the other hand, I agree with Edward that there is some kind of classified information which is yet to be revealed. I just hope I get to watch it on Discovery Channel next 40 years. 🙂

      6. @Ron: Well as far as the article goes, FOXNews didn’t even mentioned the name of this Pakistan Observer. Would you rather believe this un-named Pakistan Observer?

That’s the downside of relying too much on second hand information.

The accuracy of the information given can’t be derived from the content itself but is rather seen on the credibility of where this information came from.

      7. @Kabayongtao

Me rely too much? What makes you think I’ve got only one. I’ll give you three right now.

        http://edition.cnn.com/2002/WORLD/asiapcf/south/01/18/gen.musharraf.binladen/

        That’s from CNN.

        http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2001/nov/01/afghanistan.terrorism

That’s from guardian UK. A CIA agent visited Bin Laden.

        http://www.prisonplanet.com/121703binladendead.html

        This article was written 2002.

What makes you think I have no evidence? What about your US? What hard evidence have they shown so far? Any bodies? No because they are afraid of an autopsy.

They said they buried him in sea and you believe them? With no body to show and you believe them?

Man, I bet if they say that there’s an alien invading you’ll believe them too.

I have much more evidence to show that what these US guys are reporting is a joke.

        1. Dude, you’ll keep ending up in the moderation queue if you keep including more than one link on your comments. Just a tip for you to avoid further inconvenience. 😉

      8. @Benigno

Ok, ok I’m sorry. Thanks for the tip. Just went haywire there. I just went through a lot of info yesterday and saw a lot of evidence that the US is making us fools. I don’t want anymore to be fooled by these guys, that goes for my Filipino countrymen too.

      9. @Ron: Even if the US Government show a video of how they killed Osama Binladen, people will say it’s just a re-enactment.

If they instead, release official photos of his dead body, people will say it’s edited.

My point is: whether he was dead years ago, or just shot-dead recently, I believe there will always be a room for suspicion. we were simply not just there to see it with our own eyes.

Well, it’s not like I really give a damn about Bin Laden. But if you are really bothered, why not join the Navy Seal? That way if you get yourself into a mission and found out you need to kill Osama – well don’t go on telling others because people might say you are just fooling them. 🙂

      10. @Kabayongtao

Oh come on, are you afraid I’m going to prove you wrong? Where’s your evidence to prove your US is right? You haven’t given me a single piece of evidence proving Osama is killed except for those fake pictures you claim it’s true.

The point anyway why I’m so interested here it’s because this is also almost the same tactic our officials are using. Where else can they get all their BS?

      11. @Ron: It was never my intention to prove anything at all. Nor did I post a message claiming that the recent pictures scattering around is true.(If you may, paste a segment of my posts that proves me false.)

I just merely offered a different perspective. It is my belief that every idea presented should always be countered with another one to promote intelligent conversations.

Well, it seems it turned out badly as it got a bit personal.

      12. @Kabayongtao

I’m apologize if I hurt you in anyway. Point is I’m not starting an intelligent conversation here. It’s purely common sense.

People are pointing out nowadays that America is this and that and that the Filipino government is corrupt but it turns out, when you really searched deeper, there government is even worse than ours, far worse.

The “MKULTRA” the CIA conducted during the 80s is an example of a US government gone wild. Yes, our government is corrupt but they are far worse.

I’m not an anti-American, in fact I’m a pro-America, the only thing I hate about them are the politicians and especially the CIA, it’s as almost the same as ours only worse.

      13. @Ron: No need to apologize. It was my fault to begin with for not telling my point straight away.

I’ll consider your thoughts about America, thank you for the conversation.

    4. Yes I agree with Edward. If your sense of justice is to kill, what makes you different from the one you kill? If Bin Laden was a murderer then the US is also a murderer.

I may be an atheist but I still maintain my respect to other religions. If I call them “stupid” or “idiots” because they believe in a “God” then what makes me any different from them? I’d be just like the religious guys.

I want to be different and so I maintain my virtues.

Same thing in the case of Bin Laden, he may be a murderer but it does not mean you level yourself from his level. It’ll only make you the same as them, also a terrorist in a different form.

      1. Ron: “Yes I agree with Edward. If your sense of justice is to kill, what makes you different from the one you kill? If Bin Laden was a murderer then the US is also a murderer.”

It’s even in the old testament. Justice – an eye for an eye…

I would kill anybody who will murder any of my love ones.

  10. What? I’m not proud man because whatever the US did will affect us because we’re one of their allies. If the terrorists kill Americans, they’ll also kill us.

Granting they are not conquering the world still everybody knows they want oil.

When they won WWI that incident created Adolf Hitler. They may have called that justice but it created a monster.

    1. I think your dots don’t connect well at all. The US buys its oil. If it wanted to conquer to do that it could have commanded the market long ago. You have a rather sick view of cause and effect, as if Hitler had no responsibility for being Hitler.

Oh, right. That is the old Filipino blame/denial game, anything but point the responsibility where it properly resides. And the US is such a big fat ole envy target for y’all . . .

      1. Dosen’t matter if it connects, majority knows already anyway that’s it’s oil. And mine is only a hunch not a fact.

  11. Speculation will always be there; to titilate your imagination. You will find news that: Usama Bin Laden is around the corner, very much alive…like the Elvis Presley sightings…absurd news sells magazines and newspapers…
Whatever you believe; I’m glad the War on Terror is finally winding down…it is the Turning Point, on the War on Terror. Some religious-induced , self proclaimed Jihadists may take his place…However, they will not have an impact anymore…the U.S Special Forces, are getting: better trained people, with better equipment; and better human intelligence. With those treasure throves of intelligence materials and documents captured by the U.S. Navy Seals in Bin laden’s residence…the Al Queda is now finished for Good.
May Usama Bin Laden enjoy his 72 Virgins in Paradise!!!

  12. Given the space cadet comments here, I see why the Philippines has a hard time nailing down a place for itself as a modern, clean productive society. You can’t function when you are so detached from reality that you believe superstition to be truth.

    1. Detached? Maybe it’s the other way around. The US is playing us. Why would I say something I have no evidence? What am I an idiot? Of course I have evidence. A lot of evidence. I was just waiting for you to tell me what you’re saying right now.

      Here’s one: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,41576,00.html

Osama Bin Laden died on 2001.

      Here’s another one: http://edition.cnn.com/2002/WORLD/asiapcf/south/01/18/gen.musharraf.binladen/

That’s from CNN. I’ve got lots more from reuters to interviews from a former CIA psych-ops.

Dude, no disrespect but your country is playing us for idiots.

      1. Ron your link on FoxNews says this:

“Usama bin Laden has died a peaceful death due to an untreated lung complication, the Pakistan Observer reported, citing a Taliban leader who allegedly attended the funeral of the Al Qaeda leader.”

Have you read the news completely or just its title?

Read again your second link. Try to exercise your comprehension.

By that, we can do away with idiot name calling.

      2. @Trosp

I’ve read it lots of times. Point is, I’m only giving you some of the evidence but I can give you more. I expect people to say that to me, I know they’re skeptical about everything so to seal the deal, I collected not two but a lot more.

      3. Ron: “@Trosp, I’ve read it lots of times. Point is, I’m only giving you some of the evidence but I can give you more. I expect people to say that to me, I know they’re skeptical about everything so to seal the deal, I collected not two but a lot more.”

I say bring them on. I guarantee you I can match them twice as much.

Sometimes, one has to distinguish the difference between truth and ideology.

      4. @Ron

The two you’ve given were useless. Or maybe they’re the best you have.

Try something which does not sound like urban legend.

But then, what can I do. You don’t even fit the ideolouge type.

It’s obvious that you’re just a troll. It’s obvious that you are feeding us sources which you didn’t know anything about.

      5. @Trosp

Ow are you taunting me? It’s not going to work. You’re trying to play my emotions against me. If my articles are useless then prove it, give me an article that can debunked my articles.

I give you give, it’s that simple. If not then you’re the one who’s lying because you never gave anything. You just labelled my articles as “useless” and concluded without citing any articles of your own.

      6. @Ron

Taunting you will never come into my mind. You don’t deserve that.

I do, however, can conveniently present to the commenters and readers here that you’re just a troll based on your two links:

Foxnews link – “Report: Bin Laden Already Dead”

Haven’t you thought why it not just titled “Bin Laden Already Dead”?

Beyond your comprehension heh? (BTW, can you really comprehend?)

And in that news, it was mentioned that the source was the “Pakistan Observer”.

Don’t you want to be credible if you just click your mouse some more for the Pakistan Observer first hand information?

(Nah, for a troller, that’s a no-no. Just confuse the issue he he he… let them be confused!)

For your CNN link – “Pakistan’s Musharraf: Bin Laden probably dead”

Can’t you provide the snippets of both Pakistan and US sides? Not just telling us than UBL was already dead according to Pakistan.

        Typical style for a troller.

I will not even say that you’re just a clueless dude. But if you are, you are abusing the right of being clueless.

      7. @Trosp

Nope. I give you give. Label me as much as you want.

Rules of war says: Rushing is the biggest mistake anyone would make.

Why would I give my “ace-in-the-whole” cards now? I’d be stupid to do that. I want to see yours first, that is if you have any.

Otherwise, you’re all talk and no proof.

      8. Ron, I have posted a comment EARLIER in this post about the debunking of the truther’s claim on what really happened in 9/11. Just tell me what are the claims that that link have not answered. I can guarantee you that if you’re just an objective person, it has debunked all the false claims of the truthers like you.
Heh, you even have an ace in the hole. card. What’s that? You’re just making yourself to look stupid.

        http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/military/news/1227842

        Snippet:

        “Melted” Steel
Claim: “We have been lied to,” announces the Web site AttackOnAmerica.net. “The first lie was that the load of fuel from the aircraft was the cause of structural failure. No kerosene fire can burn hot enough to melt steel.” The posting is entitled “Proof Of Controlled Demolition At The WTC.”

FACT: Jet fuel burns at 800° to 1500°F, not hot enough to melt steel (2750°F). However, experts agree that for the towers to collapse, their steel frames didn’t need to melt, they just had to lose some of their structural strength—and that required exposure to much less heat. “I have never seen melted steel in a building fire,” says retired New York deputy fire chief Vincent Dunn, author of The Collapse Of Burning Buildings: A Guide To Fireground Safety. “But I’ve seen a lot of twisted, warped, bent and sagging steel. What happens is that the steel tries to expand at both ends, but when it can no longer expand, it sags and the surrounding concrete cracks.”

“Steel loses about 50 percent of its strength at 1100°F,” notes senior engineer Farid Alfawak-hiri of the American Institute of Steel Construction. “And at 1800° it is probably at less than 10 percent.” NIST also believes that a great deal of the spray-on fireproofing insulation was likely knocked off the steel beams that were in the path of the crashing jets, leaving the metal more vulnerable to the heat.

But jet fuel wasn’t the only thing burning, notes Forman Williams, a professor of engineering at the University of California, San Diego, and one of seven structural engineers and fire experts that PM consulted. He says that while the jet fuel was the catalyst for the WTC fires, the resulting inferno was intensified by the combustible material inside the buildings, including rugs, curtains, furniture and paper. NIST reports that pockets of fire hit 1832°F.

“The jet fuel was the ignition source,” Williams tells PM. “It burned for maybe 10 minutes, and [the towers] were still standing in 10 minutes. It was the rest of the stuff burning afterward that was responsible for the heat transfer that eventually brought them down.”

Don’t forget to read the “The Conspiracy Industry: Afterword to PM Expanded Investigation” also from Popular Mechanics.

      9. @Trosp

Now you’re using deviation as a tactic and go on details to confuse people. What old school.

Sigh, we’re talking about Bin Laden here and if the 9/11 is conducted by the US, and you talk about technical none-sense that is not even relevant to the subject.

I’m looking for proof if Bin Laden really died on May 1st and you deviate by giving me 9/11 technical BS that even aliens from Star Trek could not even understand. What do I care about Thermodynamics?

Do you honestly think that everyone you talk to is an engineer? I’m a common guy. I don’t like technical things not because I do not understand it, its because it’s boring. Simple as that.

Ok to make it really relevant, I’ll link you to the CIA director himself claiming that they are not even sure that “Bin Laden” was even there.

        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmsIR9BxOwo&feature=player_embedded

Here’s another one that the CIA even claims that the Bin Laden videos that were broadcast during the years were their doings.

        http://blog.washingtonpost.com/spy-talk/2010/05/cia_group_had_wacky_ideas_to_d.html

And you think I’m telling lies? There’s proof everywhere.

You know why they want to go to Afghanistan? Because of the opium. 98% of the world’s opium is being produced there and the US wants it so they could use it as a geo-political weapon against Russia because they know that Russia and China will claim the superpower country in the future so they want to find a way to piss them off.

I could link you to the opium thing but I can’t coz Benigno says I can only link two at a time.

      10. @Ron

He he he, I’ve bunched you with the other truther in this post because you made this claim earlier on this blog “this 9/11 attack was a hoax for a long time. Edward was right all along.”

For your youtube which is titled “CIA Chief Panetta: Obama Made ‘Gutsy’ Decision on Bin Laden Raid” pertains to this one –

        Washington Post May 9

Obama’s national security team was sharply divided over Osama bin Laden raid

        (Snippet)

“President Obama faced sharply divided counsel and, to his mind, barely better-than-even odds of success when he ordered the commando raid last week that killed al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, the president said in an interview broadcast Sunday.

Obama acknowledged having only circumstantial evidence placing bin Laden at the compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. There was not a single photograph or confirmed sighting of the man, he said, and he worried that the Navy SEALs would find only a “prince from Dubai” instead of the terrorist leader responsible for the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

“At the end of the day, this was still a 55-45 situation,” Obama told CBS’s “60 Minutes” in his first broadcast interview since bin Laden’s death early last Monday. “I mean, we could not say definitively that bin Laden was there. Had he not been there, then there would have been some significant consequences.”

Obama, in his most revelatory comments about his thinking in the days before the raid, said he weighed the risks and judged that he should proceed with what was, by all accounts, the most promising opportunity to capture or kill bin Laden in nearly a decade. In doing so, he rejected the counsel of a substantial number of his national security advisers, who worried that the plan to send ground troops deep into Pakistan was too risky, he said.

“I concluded it was worth it,” Obama said. “We have devoted enormous blood and treasure in fighting back against al-Qaeda, ever since 2001. And I said to myself that if we have a good chance of not completely defeating but badly disabling al-Qaeda, then it was worth both the political risks as well as the risks to our men, after a pursuit that cost billions of dollars and stretched for nearly a decade.””

Can you be specific what is the meat of that youtube link with your hilarious claim?

As for your Wapo’s link, another of your hilarious claim, this the snippet.

“During planning for the 2003 invasion of Iraq, the CIA’s Iraq Operations Group kicked around a number of ideas for discrediting Saddam Hussein in the eyes of his people.

One was to create a video purporting to show the Iraqi dictator having sex with a teenage boy, according to two former CIA officials familiar with the project.

“It would look like it was taken by a hidden camera,” said one of the former officials. “Very grainy, like it was a secret videotaping of a sex session.”

The idea was to then “flood Iraq with the videos,” the former official said.

Another idea was to interrupt Iraqi television programming with a fake special news bulletin. An actor playing Hussein would announce that he was stepping down in favor of his (much-reviled) son Uday.

“I’m sure you will throw your support behind His Excellency Uday,” the fake Hussein would intone.

The spy agency’s Office of Technical Services collaborated on the ideas, which also included inserting fake “crawls” — messages at the bottom of the screen — into Iraqi newscasts.

The agency actually did make a video purporting to show Osama bin Laden and his cronies sitting around a campfire swigging bottles of liquor and savoring their conquests with boys, one of the former CIA officers recalled, chuckling at the memory. The actors were drawn from “some of us darker-skinned employees,” he said.”

In that link, the CIA wanted to also discredit Saddam Hussein as a sort of propaganda which actually did not take off.

So what is the meat that would support your hilarious claim in that Wapo link?

I could not make up my mind if you’re lying or just plain clueless who is abusing the right of being clueless.

You also have this claim now:

“You know why they want to go to Afghanistan? Because of the opium. 98% of the world’s opium is being produced there and the US wants it so they could use it as a geo-political weapon against Russia because they know that Russia and China will claim the superpower country in the future so they want to find a way to piss them off.”

And previously on this post, you have this one:

“Granting they are not conquering the world still everybody knows they want oil.”
Can you comprehend what you’re reading?

        Pinapaikot mo kami…

      11. @Trosp

What the hell are you saying? Cross- examining me? This is not a court room.

Edward said that not me. Sigh!

        Oh great I’m talking to B1 where’s B2?

Edward = Me = not me

He may have a point, I said, but do not agree with everything he says.

Ok stop with your diverting tactic. It’s pathetic really. You’re not making sense. We’re not in a court room for crying out loud.

      12. @Trosp

      13. @Ron

(I captured your last posted comment with my comment in parenthesis.)

        * What the hell are you saying? Cross- examining me? This is not a court room.

(Where is it in my comment that I’ve cross-examined you?

But then you might be correct if we go by this definition of cross-examination from online dictionary – cross-examine vb (tr)1. (Law) Law to examine (a witness for the opposing side), as in attempting to discredit his testimony)

        * Edward said that not me. Sigh!

        Oh great I’m talking to B1 where’s B2?

Edward = Me = not me

He may have a point, I said, but do not agree with everything he says.

(My comment on that issue was “I’ve bunched you with the other truther in this post because you made this claim earlier on this blog “this 9/11 attack was a hoax for a long time. Edward was right all along.”

So here is your complete comment as regard that issue:

“Ron on May 5, 2011 at 11:59 am

        @Ilda

The way I have comprehended your comment, you categorically claimed that the 9/11 was a hoax. Seems strange that you can’t comprehend your own comment. )

        * Ok stop with your diverting tactic. It’s pathetic really. You’re not making sense. We’re not in a court room for crying out loud.

(Where did I use this tactic of diverting? Can you tell your comment readers about them?

What I did was to put out snippets on the links you have provided in your comment because I find them irrelevant.

Your youtube link did not say that Obama was not there but as I have in my snippet in my previous comment as regard that link –

“Obama acknowledged having only circumstantial evidence placing bin Laden at the compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. There was not a single photograph or confirmed sighting of the man, he said, and he worried that the Navy SEALs would find only a “prince from Dubai” instead of the terrorist leader responsible for the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.”

Can you provide your comment readers a snippet of that link that categorically says that they will not find Obama in that place? Or this is just a case of your hearing comprehension problem.

And your Wapo link, from the way I have comprehended it, it did not mention anything that Obama was dead already except for those CIA guys that would like discredit him and Sadam Hussein through fake videos as a propaganda tool.

Can you provide your comment readers a snippet of that link that categorically says that the Obama was dead already on that link? Or this is just an another case of your reading comprehension problem.

On this diverting tactic, how about explaining to the blog readers your tactic. I have mentioned in my previous comment:

“You also have this claim now:

“You know why they want to go to Afghanistan? Because of the opium. 98% of the world’s opium is being produced there and the US wants it so they could use it as a geo-political weapon against Russia because they know that Russia and China will claim the superpower country in the future so they want to find a way to piss them off.”

And previously on this post, you have this one:

“Granting they are not conquering the world still everybody knows they want oil.”

Nothing from you to explain them? Or you just want to divert the attention of the blog readers from your inadequacy in supporting claims with real facts. He he he, links sometimes are not enough –provide at least some snippets that will be the meat of your link.)

      14. @Trosp

Guys, please stop this ok. Walang mangyayari kung puro ego lang pinapairal niyo ok.

Ganito na lang, let’s just see what happens in the future ok? If either one of you are wrong or right then just say “I apologize” and I’ll do that too. If I’m wrong in the future then I’m sorry Trosp.

      15. One has to stay classy when commenting in a blog.

Mayroong iba dyan na ang style ay yung kung tawagin nila ay “tirang bukid”.

No offense intended to the farmers.

  13. Ilda: “I am a bit wary about the excessive celebrations a lot of Americans are throwing at the moment following the official announcement that Osama Bin Laden is dead.”

Let us see also on how the muslim world reacted when 9/11 happened. Try also to see how this same muslim world reacted when a family of five Israelies were murdered by a Palestinian loony.

Would what the Americans were doing too much for a celebration of a demise of an evil man?

    1. Hi Trosp,

I understand what you mean. I know that there are some Muslim radicals who dance with joy every time an American or those they consider infidels, die. But we all know that they are a bunch of ignorant fools. The members of western society should show more restraint, in my opinion. They should prove to everyone that they could act differently. After all, Osama’s followers believe in a very different ideology, which is precisely the reason why they would see celebration of Osama’s death an insult. In other words, Americans cannot expect the radicals to wave the white flag even after Osama’s death.

Unfortunately, Americans are not known for their stoicism. They like to announce their win using loud speakers.

Sometimes when you know you have won the game, you don’t need to over emphasize it. Otherwise, your opponent will just fight another day.

I personally would have celebrated with a solemn remembrance of the people who perished during 9/11. That’s all.

      1. Ilda: “But we all know that they are a bunch of ignorant fools.”

No they’re not. Actually, calling them fools would be a compliment in their favor. I would not even call them primitives. I’m not even sure barbaric would be the right word.

Show me one muslim that is openly condemning their terrorism acts and I can show you thousand of muslims gloating on deaths of non muslim victims in islamists terroristic acts.

        1. It is sad that it has come to this, indeed. There will be no end to it just like there is no end to the Israel and Palestinian conflict.

  14. Ron,the problem is that when people believe in what I call a superstition, or fiction, it can grow to become an ideology, and from that, a set of actions like those undertaken by terrorists, who believe to the depth of their soul that innocent Americans (and international citizens), like those working in the World Trade Center buildings, are somehow in cahoots with the devil.

To me, you sound closer to Osama bin Laden in moral fiber than to a society that believes in truth and honor.

Is the American way flawed? Of course. But it does no good to misrepresent it, in a belief that that this somehow will herd the rest of the world to a perfect society.

There is no perfection. There is only earnest effort. I think you have no idea what America is really about.

    1. Oh no, I know the truth very well. I know that for 30 years the US has not been hit by anything then suddenly a plane crashed? Huh?

They have AA Missiles all over their country with sophisticated technology in airline security technology and still a terrorist with a gun came through? That’s odd? When they came to see the black box, it was gone? Again, that’s odd.

Here’s the very odd part, when Obama’s rating came down poof, Bin Laden was announced dead. Isn’t obvious that Obama has nothing to offer so to boost his rating was to create this hoax Bin Laden mission and make him the hero?

This guy sucks at leadership. Now the political parties are having doubts about the pictures and the “burying in the sea” part. Where’s the body? Too afraid to do an autopsy and found out the real truth?

  15. Obviously, Osama’s demise has devided people’s views on the “war on terror.” We can’t seem to agree on who is playing the terrorist anymore.

  16. Hi Ilda, allow me to offer this observation that resons behind radicalization in the Islamic world had been mostly because of the Palestinian conflict. Imagine in 1967, maruading Muslim students nearly caught up with the Israeli Ambassador in Manila, he could have been badly hurt or even killed. All the rest including ours in Mindanao more or less evolved from all those ‘injustices’ while true, we have gotten rid of the Berlin wall only to materialize in Israel, and then the blockade of Gaza. Now the Mid East is in turmoil, the crazy part is we just can’t tell what all this problem will lead up to, for the better I hope. Same here in Mindanao, we hope for the final resolution of the long nagging conflict through peaceful means, it’s okay to daydream right Ilda?

  17. On the whole, the shorter abbreviated pathway reach up, remove radicalism out of Muslims worldwide is to solve the Palestinian problem, I am very certain of this Ilda. God help us…

    1. Yes, you are correct. But since there is no short way of solving the Palestinian problem, then the jihad will not end sooner than we want.
